RE: My first speed plane attempt now with video

Yep, a 4S would liven it up some. Have you had your hands on the controls while in flight yet?

RE: Complex shape flying wing/delta CG calculator

Watch out. I resemble that remark [X(]
I was not trying to belittle your knowledge and you make a valid points under many circumstances. However, those rules do not apply to deltas like the...

RE: Complex shape flying wing/delta CG calculator

Totally agree. Diamond Dust, Screamin Demon and other deltas. Build em straight for a docile low or high speed bundle of fun :)

RE: Complex shape flying wing/delta CG calculator

Elevon - A control surface on an airplane that combines the functions of an elevator and an aileron.
Delta wing require elevon mixing so pretty much the same thing.

Hey Chumley, Your not related to that "Chumley" on Pawn Stars on the history channel, are you? ;)

I sold Mike D. this business some time back and I hate to see it in this state. He should...

RE: My first speed plane attempt now with video

I don't think I would run a 5S with a prop using that motor. Video it if you do :)

Since we tested similar airframes (yours is probably cleaner) it seems I remember mine running at or just...

RE: My first speed plane attempt now with video

Easily breaking 100+ mph on a 3S and the wrong prop. Nothing wrong with that IMO. the right prop and a 4S [X(]

RE: My first speed plane attempt now with video

Your camera man sure did a nice job on the second flight. That is one cool wing shape and it seems to fly very well also :D My thoughts are the 5" prop is not big enough for that air frame. If my...

RE: My first speed plane attempt now with video

Hi Paul, That sure did turn out nice. I did three Doppler checks with two just after the 30 second mark and one just after one minute. I kept coming up with 105 - 115 mph. The lines were not real...

RE: Another Screamin' Demon build!

RE: Which is stronger?

The test we did were with medium and thick CA. Forum Moderator da rock had the scales and weighed the glue before and after. My only personal test was a drop of thick CA that reduced in size by...

RE: Which is stronger?

I use thick and thin CA almost exclusively to build my planes with great results. I do keep some laminating epoxy around tor fuel proofing, fiber glassing and preparing surfaces for painting but not...

RE: Looking for a real FAST plane!

9x8, 9x9 or 10x7 works well on that engine. I think a 8" is too small for a 46AX.

RE: CA Hinges! Yes, No or????

You are right, according to the RCU "how to" article I posted earlier, that it seems no one has read. :D
They explain how to get the perfect gap. That ok though, reinvent the wheel. ;)
