RE: Where can we fly turbines in SF Bay Area?

Yes I am planning on coming to Woodland on Sunday. I have a turbine enforcer that has only flown once. So it is still kind of in a maiden stage, meaning I am still learning its flight...

Where can we fly turbines in SF Bay Area?

I am finding it very difficult to fly my jets in the Bay Area. Several clubs now ban turbines and are losing their flying fields. We lost the club at the Alameda Naval Air Station, which was a...

RE: What do you think of FORMOST 150 ?

Thud Driver
Since I am doing modifications, should I add a speed brake? Where would it go? Top, like a Hot Spot or bottom like a Roo? Or inboard of the booms with split flaps. I am using a JDE 16lb...

RE: What do you think of FORMOST 150 ?

I bought one of these from nitromodels before I looked it up here on RCU. The price was just too good to resist. I don't mind building and none of the mods here are difficult so I have been kind of...

RE: JDE-54 or Hawk 14 Users Group

Hi Rav
I was the one with the 2 engines. The one on the Kangaroo (Hawk 14 kit engine) had a fuel leak the week before and did not have any extra fuel line with me to repair at the field. The other...

RE: I'm building a Royal Cessna 310Q, need help

The 310Q & R have split flaps. I looked at hundreds of photos on the web and got some good color schemes as well as some good details of gear, gear doors, flaps, interiors etc. The R version has a...

RE: I'm building a Royal Cessna 310Q, need help

I have a set of B&D retracts which I will probably use. I notice you added flaps, I was thinking of adding them but to a more scale split flap config. Do you have any pictures of the nose gear...

RE: I'm building a Royal Cessna 310Q, need help

I was originally thinking of the OS 46's, but was toying around with the idea of the nice sounds of 4 strokes. Looks like 40's are plenty of power. Does your friend "joe" know what is the final dry...

I have been looking on ebay for a royal Cessna 310Q kit. I finally got one for a reasonable price. I have started to build the kit, I forgot that these kits are not easy to build.
I know there is...

RE: WHICH ONE GUY'SW54/ P60/T-500/PST600R/JF50 BEE

I have both Wren 54 and the NEW JDE 55. Both are good engines. The JDE 55 has around 15 - 16lbs thrust, and with the JDE redesigned turbine wheel this engine starts very easy, and the throttle...

Joe
I also have a spped brake on the bottom. It is 2 1/4 X 6, made from carbon fibre plate. It would be easy to put on a different size as the plate just rests against the bottom of the fuse. We...

RE: Turbine Enforcer

Yes I thought about the chrome, but the bottom is very dark with orange tips as well, we will see. The wing-lets were just something added for fun, they extend below the wing for tip skids as well.

RE: Starfire fan to turbine conversion

Hi
I bought a used Starfire II off of EBAY(one piece, wings are permanent). It was already setup for a turbine, but with the bypass. I like your fuel tank setup, so out goes the bypass. This one...

RE: Turbine Enforcer

Thanks Joe
If I go with a 17 inch CG, from trailing edge ( not including the tail surfaces ) , then that makes my main tank about 2/3 in front of the CG and 1/3 behind. I might be able to move the...
