The gun ports are very short bits of styrene tubing (so's not to weaken the leading edge)- brass tubing (scaled to .50 cal. I.D.) did for the barrels.

Aluminum duct tape was applied to the leading edges and wherever access panels were located- it takes simulated fasteners well using a sharpened brass tube- and of course scraping strategic spots...

Lado retracts are a good product- the company, unfortunately, leaves a lot to be desired. It may be time to end your frustration, contact your credit card company for a refund and order something...
