Best guess is you are killing your batteries in one or both of two ways.
1. Never discharge a LiPo cell below 3.4V under load (3.7V at rest).
2. Never leave a LiPo fully charged for any significant...

The increase in mAh will increase the flight duration. The increase of the C rate will have no effect.

May I suggest you read this:

Only if you want to burn up a battery and maybe the plane it's installed in.

You cannot connect batteries of different voltages in parallel.

What is the voltage of the NiMH pack you want to charge?

Best charge rate for a 3000mAh pack would be 300mA. 400mA should be OK too.

RE: A123/Lipo Balancer???

Hey, you asked for a balancer that would do both LiPo and A123. I did the search that you could have done yourself. Then you beat me up about the price and found one cheaper. So why didn't you...

RE: Dead RX pack...Kicking myself

If the switch is between the ESC and RX then the ESC can still draw the battery down. You must unplug the battery from the ESC to prevent the battery from being discharged.

To dispose of a LiPo...

RE: What could it be?

Assuming your ESC has a LVC circuit the ESC thinks the lower voltage pack is still a 3 cell and is discharged. You will have to reprogram the ESC for a 2 cell pack.

RE: 2/3A discharge rate?

And BTW the physical size of the cells is not significant to this question. It would be the same for AAA, AA, C, or D.

RE: Anyway to save a cell that's reversed pol.?

I beleive that it can happen sometimes if a NiCad or NiMh is discharged too low.

RE: Anyway to save a cell that's reversed pol.?

Mixstich.

Lets clarify some things. I assume you have a NiCad or NiMh 5 cell 1100mah battery. Two of the cells are bad.

You could replace the two bad cells. There will be no problem if...

RE: Lipo Battery Parallel noob question

The C rate of a battery does not change regardless of series/parallel connection. The C rate will always be the lowest of the batteries being ued.

While you can use batteries of different...

RE: Checking a new A123 pack

Yes, but you can charge an A123 cell pack at higher than 1C. If your charger can handle it you can easily go as high as 5C.

I beg your pardon but increasing the mah size of a battery will not overheat the motor. Increasing the mah of the battery will not increase the amount of current the motor pulls. It will only allow...

RE: How big deep cycle battery to charge 5amp lipos at the field?

How about a permanent mount on the back bumper of the van. That would keep you from having to lift the battery and also keep the charging gsses from the interior.
