The RF deck is not just held in place by the header pins. There should be an adhesive pad between the 2 pcb's. Has yours been away for repair or something ??

Actually, JR had a working 2.4 GHz system back in 2003 but due to contractual obligations, they had to use the Spektrum system as supplied by Horizon. Spektrum changed from DSM to DSM2 not JR.

Check DC Power to RF Board, does the 622 have a DSC jack at the back ? If so then the main power switch is a split affair. Half of the switch will power up the elctronics and the other half powers...

Duh ! Sorry.... misread earlier posts.... thought it was the DSX11.

The XG11 does not have a rear "module", it is fitted on the front half of the set. Not sure if the rear casing is complete...

Although there are the standard JR 5 pins showing, the modulation signal is fixed in DSM2 format.

I would need to dig out info to see if the modulation pin can be rerouted to a PPM signal.
