RE: why a cub?

I recently stumbled across this 50 year old picture in one of my mother's photo albums. I don't know if it was love at first sight but there are 4 quarter scale Cubs in my garage at this moment.

RE: Egg drop plane

Can't wait to see the pics! You should crush a row of scrap balsa models as part of the show. I prefer the good old carpet bomb technique.

RE: Scale combat flying?

Formation flying is a very risky business, follow the leader less so. Expect to make contact with the other flyer sooner or later. We do both on a regular basis with our small combat models and put...

RE: 101" Lake Renegade 250 build

Here are some recent pics of JRW's Renegade 250. It's in the fill and sand stage with all the gear installed. Cowling has been cast in epoxy glass (lost foam method) and will require stiffening and...

RE: Spad corsair

That'd be me. A wing is only as strong as its spar and I had problems initially too. The plane in the pic was repaired several times and the wing failed during a loop. Believe it or not it spun...

RE: Spad corsair

Nice job on your Corsair. Mine is a real handful on high rates. Set the elevator travel so it won't snap with full up and make sure the ailerons don't droop in neutral (check them against a...

RE: Seaplane pictures

The closeup was taken during a boat tour on Lake Rosseau, Saturday. We were cruising around 30mph with the Cub parked 10 feet out. Any closer and the airflow around the boat becomes hard to handle....

RE: Avistar As A Sport Plane?

Avistars fly great with the LA40 and scream with a 46. It will be nose heavy with the 46 so your landings will be hotter. Add some lead to the tail and get the cg back where it should be. Also,...
