i would suggest talking to the other racers at your local track and choosing a chassis that is common among those racers.
doing this almost insures a chassis that is good for the track and a wealth...

yea i will be going with 48p (non metric) gears any aftermarket spur will fit on the spur gear holder but wont mesh with the pinion without a slotted motor mount.

not with the 4 position motor mount, i had access to EVERY combo of 48p and 64p spurs and pinions i could not get any combo to mesh properly with the 4 positions available.

I've been running a tekin rs and tekin 17.5 brushless for over a week now and can definitely say you will NEED hpi diff screws (m2x25) and aluminum diff joints.
you will WANT a slotted aluminum...

melted a diff tonight, swapped it with 1 from my spare tb-02 ran 1 more lap and broke the last tamiya diff screw.

hope my aluminum pars get here soon at this rate wont have any spares left by...

loctites blackmax is a great gapfill and is semiflexable and with 24 hours set time is about 80% as strong...

try loctite 603 retaining compound or locktite blackmax, on the pins and loctite 271 on the setscrews, i can't see CA doing much good

the wheels and tires are jaco greens (supposedly the best rubber tires for my local track) the traction is good but there EXTREMELY out of round, about 5x the thickness of the rubber.

i just put a tekin RS ESC and tekin 17.5 brushless and after a software update and some tweaking of the software my TB-02 FLIES!!!
i have a slotted motor mount and some aluminum upgrades coming...

my rear diff ring just slipped also i caught it before anything melted, since i am fanatical about maintenance and normally rebuild my diff's after 2 or 3 days of use.
