It's quite the norm for carb choke plates to have...

It's quite the norm for carb choke plates to have a small hole which is supposed to help with cold start running but I have never seen a throttle plate with a hole.

All the advice you have gotten so far is worth heeding as being a Stik lover and flyer myself, and even though they are very forgiving models it's advisable not to be marginal in the power department...
