RE: Allied Planes vs Others

Thanks, you said that very well and really made the point that I was searching for. I was just too caught up in the sides instead of the aircraft.

RE: 66 in W/span Jenny, who made this kit? HELP!

I really like the method of assembly of wings to fuselage. What an elegant design that makes for easytransport and setup. I also saw an atricle in AMA or IMMAthat showed how to chop abiplane fuselage...

RE: GTM 1/2 Scale Fokker Triplane

RE: SE5a 1/5 Scale, can it compete?

Well, it did work better but mostly I used a small phillips screw driver and then the drill bits by hand in this soft balsa. I should be able to do the last two tomorrow night...

RE: SE5a 1/5 Scale, can it compete?

Well, I have been trying soooo hard to finish these wings. I have all of the panels finshed, ailerons beveled, and one of them installed. I am so lousy at drilling straight, I liked the thought of...

RE: Piper Pawnee 40 Tail Wheel Recommendations from other modelers with Included Photos

I know that I am a newbie but I have never seen the need for a steerable tail wheel, especially on grass. Usually the first time it breaks in rough grass I replace it with a tailskid or a...

Allied Planes vs Others

I seem to be stange in that I am averse to owning or building German WWI or WWII or Japanese WWII planes? For instance I have already decided that if I want a Triplane it would be the Sopwith rather...

RE: I need a 1/3 scale full body pilot

On eBay you can search for WWI or WWII Action figures, GI Joe's but I believe they are actually more of a 1/4 scale size rather than a 1/3 scale.

RE: Hangar 9 20cc Tiger Moth Build

I hate all the junk ARFs on eBay and I do not recommend them at all.

Support your local hobby store, even if he has to order your solatex natural from BUSA. We drive them out of business ourselves.

RE: Phonix D.III - 1:10 scale April 2012 R/C Model Aeroplane Mag

Okay, that is a great idea. So rather than sanding down the pointy ends 1mm for the covering, just laminate the rest for the fuselage sides (forward portion)with 1mm balsa. Sounds like a plan....
