I know these tanks have two motors, what I don't understand is when you just drive forward and backwards my tank sounds great and smooth, but the you want to turn it sounds like junk and loses power....

you need to use a ΒΌ watt resistor.
It been a long long time maybe near a year now and my tail motor is still running strong with no signs of power drain.

I can't remember if I every followed up on this but the new tail motor works GREAT! with the right resistor there is NO affect on performance.

nope. Just make sure you let if cool down after each flight. You can also vent your canopy and 4-1 case. The new xtreme motors will also help keep everything cool.

Def, You can use lama batteries, but you have to mod your tray a bit to fit them. If you want some cheap batteries check out "Mega Power - 2-Cell 7.4v 850mAH 15C" They are only 15 bucks and fit...
