RE: Dura Trax Raze

Well, I have decided to post my brand new Raze Truggy (never seen a drop of nitro) on eBay this coming weekend. I have had it for several years and never got the urge to run it, nor does it look...

RE: This is ridiculous...

Nice video, but I add one other step. Although the solder has flux in its core, I use a liquid flux on the wires and plug just to ensure a thoroughly chemically clean area for the tinning process.

RE: what is normal nitro engine life?

I have not kept track of the amount of fuel I run through each of my engines. I do know I consume 4-6 gallons of fuel a year, but that is among a group of 7 buggies, trucks, a Kyosho car, and...

RE: How many gallons of nitro do you burn in a season ?

I've got 6 nitro vehicles comprised of buggies, trucks, and truggies and burn 4-5 gallons of fuel a year. I run from April through November with most of my running done in May, June, September, and...

RE: Dura Trax Raze

Sorry to hear about your back surgery and hope you are finding relief from it. A bad back can be very debilitating.

I still have my 2 Raze buggies and they are still running great - they must...

RE: What's a Good Start Point These Days?

The Hyper 7 is still around and getting kudos, huh? That sounds like a good choice as I had one about 3 years ago and it did seem tough as nails. I wound up trading it away in a Revo deal. He has...

What's a Good Start Point These Days?

I have a number of 1/8 & 1/10 nitro buggies and truggies but have not been very active for a couple of years. My grandson is now showing interest and I'd like to get him something so he can test the...

RE: Is it safe to run an an rs4 3 evo + multiple times in a row?

Nitros, properly running and tuned and not running too lean, can be run consistently throughout a running session - no matter how long. If heat is not a severe problem there is no reason that you...

RE: Nitro or electric for sand????

I alternately run a MERV, XXXT, nitro Rustler, two Raze buggies and a Raze truggy in beach sand. As previously stated, the biggest problem is cleaning the sand and salt off. The sand on my beach is...

RE: should i get the hyper 7 black?

I have had an OFNA Hyper 7 and a Hyper 7 Black. I raced the Hyper 7 a couple of times but most of my running has been in the bashing department. I can tell you straight off that both of these OFNA...

RE: How do you handle RC trades/sales?

God forbid what happened to me does not happen to anyone here, as it made me feel terrible.

Four years ago I sold a 19' boat on eBay, received a $500 deposit via PayPal with the balance...

Personally, for the money I'd get an OFNA Hyper 7. Tried, proven, and tough as nails...

RE: Nitro buggy + Snow = Good or Bad idea??

I ran in snow for the first time last year (decided I needed to try it!) and it took me almost a full day to do a tear down afterwards to clean it up, dry it out, and re-lube everything. That part...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

Yeah, you must have had some bad cells mixed in with your 8 "AA" NiMh batteries. As far as the difference between the 1.2V of the NiMh's and the 1.5V of the alkalines, the transmitter functions...

RE: OFFICIAL MINI E-REVO THREAD!!!

I've been using Powerex NiMh "AA" 2700mAh batteries in my transmitter since day one and have had absolutely no problems. I run maybe four times a week (on average) and go though my two Traxxas...

RE: Best upgrades for my Duratrax Raze buggy

My bad, I mislabeled them in my post! They ARE: 5,000F, 10,000C, 2,000R, but I still have the understeer and need to tweak the weights. My center should probably be in the 7,000 range, rear in...

RE: E Revo Wheel shake

Mine does the same thing as does my son's. It's just a radio/servo issue (typical RTR radio/servo issue) and as soon as they're back "on all fours", all is good and nothing to worry about. It is...

RE: hyper 7 problem

Among my buggies, trucks, and truggies I also have the Hyper7-Black, and 4 to 5 turns out is WAY too rich! I usually run somewhere between 2-1/2 and 3 turns out - whichever gives me the slightest...

RE: hyper 7 problem

If your engine was broken in properly, I would suspect the low speed needle is either opened or closed too far (hard to tell without hearing it - but I suspect closed too far). The batteries only...

RE: Best upgrades for my Duratrax Raze buggy

davido666,

Thank you for reminding me, I DID put stronger MG servos in all 3 for steering - it's been so long ago that I plum forgot! The upgraded steering servos are a "must" in almost any RTR...

RE: Best upgrades for my Duratrax Raze buggy

I've not posted pics here before, but I'll give it a try. If they show up, the red buggy was my first Raze and has the diff oils. The green one I picked up because of my total satisfaction with the...
