test running a DZ160 and when the carb barrel is closed, the engine ticks over and will not stop. I did adjust the spring screw with no change. Sounds like an air leak. Where is the most common place...

retracts

I had them in my P40. Really not good. One day they just started acting up. It was the retracts, not the box. Long story short, after 4 months and 3 exchanges they were replaced with the air Robart's...

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

I have several sets of the 5S and 5S, and several sets of a 6S and 4S. When it is time to have new batteries, I will probably use the 45C's if I make weight.

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

Hey guys, I have been using the PowerEdge 5000 5S 30C's in my Vanquish with great success. We have updated the PowerEdge battery line and the 30C 5000's have been discontinued and replaced by the 45C...

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

your's came out heavier than mine did, I am at 11 lbs 2 oz and I know why mine did. If you are using the Torque motor, that weighs nearly 5-6 oz less than my Dualsky. What do you have for a rx...

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

I normally do not use the brake on my electric aicraft. Using props up to 10" pitch, no brake was ok. Once I started to use the 13" and higher pitched props, I found that I needed the brake. I...

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

Seep some CA on every joint that you can reach. While I found no areas that did not have a good glue joint, it took less than 5 minutes to do.

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

Remember, this is not a 3D aircraft. You will only use 11-15 degrees of throw on the elevator. I also used the S9650's, but due to the width of the Dubro arms, I used a metal servo arm so I did not...

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

One of the things to consider in batteries if you are sport flying vs running a pattern sequence is your power on vs power off. Running a pattern sequence, you have many power off moments in 45, 60...

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

I also have the S9650's in the tail. You will have to remove some of the ply mount to where the servo screws would be, maybe 2-2.5mm. Just keep trimming until you can get them in. It took me about an...

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

Just got back from another 4 flights on the Vanquish.

Changes from the last outing:
Decreased the wing incidence to .7 pos. I think I was at .8 or even .9.

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

I do not actually know, I did not check it. On the 3rd flight of the day I moved the batteries back some and felt the plane was tail heavy. More work to do. I am not worried about the thrust line yet.

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread

One thing to keep in mind about wing incidence, the wing flies level. If you have too little wing incidence, the fue will fly tail down. Too much wing incidence, the fuse will fly tail high. The...

RE: Extreme Flight Vanquish 2m Build Thread
