RE: Walkera 5#10

I got an E-Sky Lama 4 in 1 last fall & just installed it yesterday in my 5#10 - makes a world of difference in performance & handling. Even with some older, reduced capacity 7.4v 800 MH batteries,...

Need Parts?

Now is the time - Xheli.com has free shipping until 7/5 using code xheli0704. Normally I get free shipping from them using the cjfree2 code, but need a $50 minimum order - this weekend there's no...

RE: If your Heli was sentient what would you ask it?

I believe that everything in my household has utility of some sort - even the cat. If any of the helis had the faculties of comprehension, a typical request would be something on the order of: ...

RE: Walkera 5#10

Has anyone compared handling between the 5#10 FM & GHz versions?

I have the 72MHz version & am considering installing a Lama Rx for better heading lock. Does the 2.4GHz version have any longer...

RE: Walkera 5#10

Actually, I've been using a Walkera set # 50H12-07. As I recall, they're for the Blazing star. They're white, so can be dyed any color you want. I've had a set in use for about a year now.

RE: Walkera H5-10 - advice?

While the v4 is prettier, the v3 flies & manouvers better. My biggest complaint with the v4 is that the servo arms have been clipped short, in order to fit within the body. This limits the ability...

RE: Walkera H5-10 - advice?

Is this your first Co-Axial heli? Do you feel dedicated enough to fly it enough to wear it out, or just occasionall flirt with RC helis?

I got started with coaxials via the E-Sky Lama 3's & 4's....

RE: Drifting Lama V3!

I've done the same upgrades on several V3's & v4's & had the same problem with some of them. For a largely stock configuration Heli, go back to using the plastic bladeholders & just use the swash &...

Lube Time!

OK, NOW my nail polish is dry, so ...

Now would be a good time to drop that TX, go plug in the batteries to charge, and check your Lama v3 & v4 shaft bearings. Chances you've never touched them...

RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD

Awwww .... C'mon Now!!:D One thing I learned long ago as an engineer is that some of the guys I worked with would over complicate simple tasks. Bubble level is no substitute for simply sighting...

RE: One More Walkera 4#1 Question

I found more bearings. Some contact adhesive may well keep the bearings in place inthe event of another hard landing, so the 4#1 gets a reprieve for now.

I've got some inquires out to source...

One More Walkera 4#1 Question

About 3 months ago I got fed up with the 4#1, having spun off another set of bladeholder bearings, & set it aside. Yesterday I finally got it back out for another try. Got a little hover time &...

RE: Walkera 5#10

Seems to me that at one time Gary, at Superskids, put in a set of 180's and an Esky 4-In-One.

RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD

Actually the mounting brackets for the Xtreme boom tails are model specific. Get the set to fit the v3 frame. For the v4, the CX2 version bolts right up.

Also, keep in mind: If you're not...

RE: Heli newbie tempted by lama V4

You've heard the term "All show, and no go"? That applies to the v4 relative to the older, plainer v3. It's mechanically the same heli as the v3, but with a different & sexier-looking body. Let's...

RE: ESKY LAMA 4 THREAD

Between the v3 & v4/Commanche, etc, they all use the same: battery, motors, servos, 4-in-one, gears, pinions & shafts, bladeholders, flybar, & swashplate. The servo arms and linkage are a little...

RE: Heli newbie tempted by lama V4

Consider the Lama v3 instead. At least in the States, they are a bit cheaper & the same multitude of mods are also available for it.

Look at the better blades & motor upgrades first, and...

RE: Xheli

I've ordered a lot of stuff from Xheli over the past year or so, and have noticed a great improvement in their customer service/responsiveness in the past several months.

Also keep in mind...
