Thomas, I noticed you mentioned titanium for the trunnions, while I believe titanium would be plenty strong enough. What about the cost factor in having them made? Isn't titanium pretty hard to...

RE: Recommendations for newb kit

Not all align helis need 3gx only the flybarless ones and that is something for you to decide if you want a flybar head or flybarless. Either are fine with flybarless being the newest thing. My 2...

RE: Recommendations for newb kit

The Trex 450 wont run you a grand. Depending where you get it from the 450 sport V2 model will run 350-429 depending on where you get it and that will include everything minus receiver and battery. ...

RE: Recommendations for newb kit

I had a cp pro 5 years ago and hated every minute of it and gave up like you. 2 years ago I bought and built a TREX 450 sport and haven't looked back! It is 100 times better heli and learning with...

Head wobble

I'm sure this has been gone over in the past but I have the same problem on my 2 helis, one is a raptor 60 v2 and the other is a trex 450 sport. The problem is when I spool up the head will shake...

RE: Raptor 30v2 or Trex 550

Im a little late to the party but here is my take on things. I have two helis, a Raptor 60 v2 with an OS 70 and a TREX 450 sport. I know that they are different sizes than you want but to answer a...

RE: SisT FW-190 A8 Schwarze 8

You might check with Vogelsang Aeroscale, They still have them listed on their website but I have no idea of the availability.

And 5 K is pretty much only airframe, retracts and scale...

RE: Raptor 60 Engine too rich?

Thanks for the advice, I think I'll run a few more tanks through it on the rich side and then try leaning it out. I'll go by temperature feel like you mentioned.

RE: Newbie seeks blade advice for a Raptor 50

I use Mavrikk carbons on my 60v2, I'm just a little further than you on the learning curve and they work out great. I recommend Heliproz as well too.

If you haven't done yet, get some really...

It may be a little out of your price range but I started out with a simulator and a blade cp pro. While the simulator was great for leaning controls, hovering and forward flight it never could...

RE: TREX 450 Sport Blade grip separation

How do you like the flybarless? I see that is what most TREX helis are going now. I'm thinking if I ever do more than $400 damage to my Raptor 60 that I will go with a TREX 550 or 600 as low as the...

RE: 150% enlarged WingontheWeb HO-229

RE: TREX 450 Sport Blade grip separation

That is the problem, The feathering shaft screws did not break, they did not pull the threads from the shaft either. So they came loose in the duration of a 3 minute mild flight. They were...

RE: 150% enlarged WingontheWeb HO-229

Thomas, Have you decided about a retracts manufaturer or are you going to CNC yourself?

Also what are you going to use for flight stabilization, Gyro or some sort of computer controller? Or do...
