haven't used mine with LiPos yet, but with IB1400s works great. I have a lipo to try next time I run.

You can also pickup 1/8 inch lexan/plexiglass at Home depot real cheap. I have 2 pieces 11X20 that I think were about 5 bucks.

Looks to be about 1.5 inches too narrom so the wheels would really stick out and you'd have to trim the wheel wells a lot.

The 140mm wide on the 18r bodies is the minimum you can go, the tires...

With a candy purple main color, you could go with metallic blue or green flames faded from white or go with white fading into flourescent yellow or pink.

Where I race at the pro pulses can't compete. We had a couple of people try them and they have cheaper plastics, so it was tough to finish the races. I have heard good things about the kaizens...

The stock esc will handle lipos but does not have a cutoff so you have to buy a regulator so you don't drain your lipos too far and ruin them.

If you are looking brushless, the Tekin 6800...

Not sure on 1/18 but they do 1/8.

We are racing 1/18s 2 places right now, on opposite weekends. Check out www.hircr.com , it is near the beltway and I10 on the west side, we race indoors, $7 a class, did I mention in the A/C? :) ...

The original chevrons will flip you as soon as they catch an outer edge, which is a lot. Most of us with old skool MAXXs cut the edges off and/or ground them down.

Take a look at the 17mm Romulins , they come with adaptors to fit the traxxas 14mm hubs. And they have a nice offset
