RE: 46 FX-H carb

Bax, From what I have been reading in the Heli circle the spraybar was changed to richen up the midrange, something to do with the shape of the slot. Although the engine has been discontinued they...

46 FX-H carb

Do the new engines have the 40c #2 carb with the improved spraybar? Or is it hit and miss when I order one?

Thanks

RE: TT PRO 39 ENGINE

Sounds like it went lean, Bubbles? First check all your fuel lines, inside and out. Then I would open the high speed needle about 5 or 6 clicks and try again. It is normal when increasing nitro to...

RE: Engine repair with JB weld?

A good welder will be able to TIG it. Have fixed many model engines this way.

RE: Replacement muffler for a Royal 40

The Royal engines are just early Magnum engines if that helps. There should be plenty of old worn out Magnums out there.

RE: New blade, heli shake

Talked to Curt at Heliproz today, once he heard there was a difference in the blade chord he said to send them back for a replacement.

New blade, heli shake

I bought a set of Mavrikk Carbon blades for my Raptor and they cause a shake or a wobble while hovering. The Blades are close to perfect on balance with about a 1" difference while suspended on 2...

RE: Piston ring roll pin

Bill,

I thought of using the drill bit but, if the engine manufacturers use roll pins them then someone has to sell them. The engine is an old Supertigre Bull Ring 46 so I doubt the piston...

Piston ring roll pin

Does anyone know where to get very tiny roll pins? I have an old Supertigre engine that the pin is worn down enough to let the ring rotate. I have a new ring but have no Idea about the pin. It looks...

RE: new magnum .52 4 stroke exhaust valve leaking?

I have a 61 4 stroke that had low compression from new. I ran 1 tank through it when new and adjusted the valves and the compression was still low. I called Magnum and they said the ring needs to...

RE: Need a strong .40 for SIG Something Extra

I don't think there is a really good .40 made that will do the SE justice. My SE originally used a Rossi .40 and flew just fine. I replaced the Rossi with an Irvine 53 and the plane came to life....

RE: Need help selecting the proper size engine

Adam,
.074's would do nothing for this size plane. 15's would be the absolute minimum if you built light enough. I flew a Royal b-17 with OS .25 BB engines and it was a great combination and the 17...

47

My GMS 47 has the low speed needle almost all the way in to get it lean enough on the bottom end. Others have them out over one full turn out to get the same. Looks like Chinese quality control...

If there is any place on the engine that has a .050 clearance it would be the needle valves in the carb, the needles in all my fox engines have a very loose fit and will change the mixture just by...

While you are at it you should consider having a carburetor adapter made so you can use a well engineered carb from OS or similar. I had 2 Fox 74's and both were fitted with the new head buttons...

rossi

Rossi 53 will not fit into an engine mount for a 40 like the OS or TT. Even a Rossi 40 won't fit, they have a larger case. The Rossi 40, 45, and 53 have the same size case.
