RE: Dream Flight Alula

I absolutely love my Alula!!! :D

It will fly in the lightest lift; usually I'm still flying, even doing aerobatics and inverted flight when noone else can even stay up. I enjoy flying this one...

RE: which brushless for 3DX??

I think the 2212 is larger, but I don't know how much larger. I do believe that both motors use the same radial mount, it just fits a 1 1/2" by 1 1/2" square.

RE: which brushless for 3DX??

I started by cutting the stick off flush where the foam ended and put two squares of depron on both sides of the nose, just below the stick so that I'd have a smooth surface, flush with the stick. A...

RE: which brushless for 3DX??

Thank you for the compliment, Dan ;)

It was my first plane after quitting the hobby several years ago, and it really jumpstarted me back into flying. I really love this plane. I started out with...

RE: Tell me about the AEROBIRD by HOBBYZONE

Build a Foamy Factory 3DX!

Goes together quickly, you can do most field repairs with scotch tape or packaging tape, and you can go the cheap route, with stock EPS 350 motor or brushless & LiPoly...

RE: axi 2212/34 vs himaxx 2015 4100

I think the Himaxx has a slight edge over the 2212/34, but for 3D you can't go wrong with either one. Gearbox maintenance and noise is definitely a factor to consider though.

I have the...

RE: any help on this power supply?

Did you get this supply from Allelectronics.com (PS-180)?

It appears to be the same one as mine. If so, you must connect the green wire to any one of the black wires on the ATX connector. I...

Yes, It's a Cri-Cri, French for "Cricket." I guess that was too easy [8D]

RE: Name this plane

The first one looks like a Barracuda all-wood homebuilt with a turboprop conversion. Designed in the 1970's, I'd guess.

And the second one is an Innova 341, a Cessna 340 fuselage with new wing...

RE: which brushless for 3DX??

Yes. I'm on RC Groups as well, same username. I have some photos, mostly not so good, but I'll see if I can find them.

RE: which brushless for 3DX??

I agree, Boss248. I think some brands are just on the conservative side. I imagine that there are some manufacturing tolerances as well, so the mfg's set some criteria, that each batch of cells must...

RE: Full scale flyers....roll call.

I just loved flying the EMB 135/145. It was my first jet; I was in the left seat for Eagle from 98 to 2000 in ORD.

I'm in the 767 now and that's really nice, but I'll always have a soft spot for...

RE: which brushless for 3DX??

Very much so ;) But my Himaxx was the 4100.

I've been told that the 2212/26 will put out just under 30 oz of thrust, but the tradeoff is a higher current draw, pushing the poor E-techs to their...

RE: PCW wont climb

Check the CG and that the motor is securely seated in the mount. I think the All-up weight should be about 5.5-6 oz max. Also make sure that your propellor is facing in the right direction, shiny...

RE: which brushless for 3DX??

I've just converted my 13 oz. 3DX from Himaxx 2015-4100, D-drive to an AXI 2212/34[sm=sunsmiley.gif]

With a GWS 11x4.7 prop, my well used E-tech 1200 3s1p's barely get warm and I get about 20...
