RE: Precision Aerobatics Addiction

Doing some AP and what did I catch below? Why it's the plane-eating tree at the field where I fly and apears to have a victim. Sorry off-topic but couldn't resist.

RE: Precision Aerobatics Addiction

I ordered my Addiction last week directly from PA and the order was processed right away and delivered in a reasonable amount of time all the way here in Oregon. This was a replacement for my...

RE: Precision Aerobatics Addiction

I just got my new Addiction yesterday so since I already have the manual in front of me I thought I would let you know that the CG is 100-105mm measured from the leading edge of the wing tip.

I...

RE: Precision Aerobatics Addiction

Ah my favorite plane. I have hundreds of flights on my Addiction. Can't believe it's lasted this long when I'm almost always wild with it. I'm totally ready to buy a new one if I ever kill it. I...

RE: What do you guys think about the Scorpion Brushless Motors

Lucien is a great guy and willing/able to explain extremely technical information on his motors. The props charts are what sold me too. I got tired of everything being watts and Kv with no other...

RE: What do you guys think about the Scorpion Brushless Motors

The 3 motor wires connect to the ESC in any order. If the motor spins the wrong way reverse any two wires and it will spin the other direction. The ESC usually plugs into channel 3 on your...

RE: What do you guys think about the Scorpion Motors

Actually this is exactly what you want. A higher rated ESC then the motor you're going to use with it. Overrating your ESC is a good idea to keep it running cool and stress-free. Your 40A ESC will...

RE: What do you guys think about the Scorpion Motors

CaptinJohn,

That's going to be some serious power on that airplane. If you haven't seen it run yet, I think you're going to be pretty impressed. Thats a very popular Scorpion motor model.

RE: What do you guys think about the Scorpion Motors

I like them so much I decided to carry them on my website. I currently have 4 planes with Scorpion motors and they perform flawlessly. I'm really impressed with their quality, price, and...

RE: Scorpion Motors

I just wanted to comment on this post because I have the exact same plane with the same Scorpion motor. This motor puts out 44oz of thrust with a 3-cell lipo on a APC10x5 prop. The plane weighs...

RE: Do I need multiple radios?

I can't believe you can't just change the tramitter crystal. That sucks! I ordered a new computer radio and now it looks like I'm going to have to buy a lot of receiver crystals.

What's...

RE: Does anybody fly Accipiter Badius in here?

I learned to fly on the AB about 2 years ago. I crashed it a few times and replaced many parts over time, but I still fly this plane weekly and is one of my favorites. I've flown it for the past...

New motor

Thats a good idea. The super glue did seem to work, but if it comes off sometime I try that.

The new motor really eats up the battery. It doesn't last as long as the stock motor at all. It...

New Motor

I bought new new 400 motor at the LHS today for $10. Everything fits really well and it looks like it may be a little better quality, but the prop fits slightly loose. In fact, then I turned it on...

Motor Voltage

I think all the 380 or 400 motors rated for 7.2v will do 8.4 without problems. Most of the ones I see actually say 7.2 - 8.4v.

I'm going to the LHS to see what they have for motors and hopefully...

motor, holes, and prop

Newberry,

I have also noticed that the prop does not fold when gliding. Maybe if the prop folded easier it would solve the problem (a little oil in the folding area?)

I'm not sure the holes...

I think I killed mt motor

Today I ran my Slope Diver through three batteries one right after the other and I think I killed my motor. Running it without letting it cool off in between was probably a big mistake. Now the...

Battery time

Newberry, your battery is just fine. Unfortunately, whatever battery time the manufactures of all airplanes claim is always twice what you will actually see. The nice thing about the slope diver is...

Slode Diver Turning

Newberry,

I also had this same problem when I first flew my Slope Diver. The plane would always turn to one side and eventually I crashed. :( Amazingly, after the crash (with a now creased...
