RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

Lots of guys at rc-monster run 2.2 and 2.8 truck wheels and tires on the crt.5. If you bash or drive rough tracks the bigger wheels are nice and gets the chassis off the ground. If you use a...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

I've tried all sorts of diff fluid combos in my e-crt.5. I've run as low as the stock 1/1/500 and as high as 4/7/2. The stock set up had way too much diff action with ballooning tires. The 4/7/2...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

Thanks for the pics of the PBS system! You will have to give us a full report on any handling differences and a durability comparison. I'm very happy with the way the stock front suspension...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

I agree that if I drove an outdoor 1/10 track it would break a lot less frequently. Unfortunately for me my outdoor track is very supercross (big jumps) and my indoor track is very fast will lots of...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

Is there anywhere that the CRT.5 has good consitent racing? I don't see much talk about them on rctech and they have faded quite a lot on rc-monster where they were being converted to electric. I...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

I still drive my electric converted crt.5 a lot, but mostly at a nice indoor track. I think if they had made it tougher and with better shocks it would be still going strong, but for outdoor 1/8...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

I did not have good luck with the Lunsford hingepins. They bend badly when you break an arm and are not as strong as the stock steel. Also the upper arm lunsford turnbuckle snapped rather than bent...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

For me the biggest shock improvement came from bigger front shocks. I used Revo front shocks and have a post in this thread that details the install and setup. I've since added CR/CRT front shocks...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

I just cut a couple of coils off the CR front (shorter) yellow springs and they seem to be pretty close in rate. I don't have much preload on them to bet the bones level, but they feel a bit softer...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

I need softer springs for the 1/8 (13mm) Jammin shocks on the rear of my CRT.5. I have a set of "yellow" Jammin springs (softest they offer I believe), but they are not soft enough to get the right...

RE: Official Thread for X1 CRT .5 Truggy

Here's some info about another Big Bore front shock option I originally posted on RCMonster.com. So far they are working great. I'm going to test them at the clay track tonight.
