There are several good trainer type planes on spadtothebone. I would suggest the Debonair or the Spadet LC40 (coroplast version of the LT40)

Wal Mart used to sell a product called Welder. It was the same stuff as that E6000. Just recently I went looking for it, but couldn't find it.

I have used silicone based caulk in the past with good results. Bought it in the tubes and used a caulking gun... I learned this from a friend that used it.

I have run both the ASP .65 and .80. Had great luck with both. The .65 and .80 use the same crankcase, head, and carb. The only difference is the crankshaft and size of the piston/cylinder.

As a buddy of mine always says....."They'll either fly...or die..." I always maiden my spads too.... What the heck.....if it dies...no biggie.....:) Just repair it or build a new one...:) :)

With a flat bottomed wing....speed creates lift.....so when you trim for straight and level at 1/2 throttle....it should climb when you open the throttle.....descend when you close the throttle.... ...

O.S. 40 LA bearings?

Very doubtful you could find a bearing that would fit....and for what it would cost....you would be about as well off to just buy a good bb engine....

Several years ago I saw a Snoopy Doghouse.......not sure whether it was made from balsa......foam....or a combo of the two..... Came out about the time the original Flying Stop Sign....flying...

No idea what is in it....smells like bug spray.....
I've heard of a couple of things....

Water in a spray bottle....spray one side.....glue on the other.....

Baking soda.....good for filling...

Cheap foam to wrap rx's in.....get a computer mouse pad.....wrap it around the rx and secure with whatever ya like....Electrical tape.....rubber bands....a strap of velcro....
