A very good recomendation would be use a G-38 & buy a stinger kit of commensurate size. The stinger kit is very cheap and a very good plane (the stinger was the forrunner of the Extra) ...

If you want to turn carb & there is no pulse line - than be sure the stand off block has a pulse track to transfer the pulse to the carb. Done this on several G62's

These are 2 totally different airplanes. One is a YAK54 - read and extra with a round tube on the front. Flies alot like an extra but flies good. The other a YAK55SP. different flyer....

I built that plane & put in a Saito 180. It really flew well & had great slow flight envelope. I wished for more power & thought a Moki 2.2 would be a great fit - but now with the new 220...

Areotech has a 150 sized 55 kit. Maybee they would consider scaling it down to your size? They have laser cutting & computer CAD stuff in house.

RE: BME 105 vs DA 100??

The DA-100 is a little bit stronger. The BME is near 2lbs lighter. Do the math. Both excellent engines.
