RE: Aeroworks or TOC

The quality of the TOC models is impeccable but bodywerks is right the Aeroworks planes will fly together and I know they fly great too. If you want to get into the air fast with the least work...

RE: new dig cam not so hot quality

I actually have almost the exact same camera and I can tell you right now that you can take that MotionDV software and pitch it in the trash because it is junk. If you want to see the...

RE: single vs. dual conversion receivers

Yes dual conversion radio systems have two crystals. And I would go with the dual conversion if you plan to fly with other people alot. The only weakness of the single conversion doesnt seem to be...

RE: Charging ?

Yeh, I would definitely take the RadioShack supply back because you will be terribly limited. I would just hook it up to a lawn mower battery inside and recharge that when it goes dead. I have a...

RE: New to lipos, need help

There is no special way to break a li-po in. Just charge it and go. Li-po's dont have memory like Nimh and Nicd packs so you dont have to worry about it. They'll go dead before they need cycled. I...

RE: How do YOU fly! - Every Heli Owner Vote

I am not sure that one way of holding the sticks gives you more precision than the other especially if it feels uncomfortable for you. I have always flown with my thumbs and I think that the level of...

RE: Katana Mini Vs. Fliton Extra

As far as flight characteristics I would say that these planes are almost equal. I would say that the Katana has some precision edge over the Extra while the Extra has some 3D superiority over the...

RE: RealFlight G3 vs a real plane

It depends on what you want to learn to fly but I would recommend the Aerofly Pro Deluxe or the G3.5 to you. It is so important and you will have alot more sucess if you put alot of hours in on the...

RE: How many channels

If I were you I would spend the money and get a 9 channel whether its a JR or Futaba. That way you can always expand and why spend $200 on a 6 or 7 channel when you could buy the last radio you'll...

RE: OS 1.20 or Saito 1.80 for Giant Big Stik?

Definitely go for the Saito 189. Unlimited power. As far as the nosing over, maybe the landing gear was mounted in the wrong spot, because I have seen these fly and they have had no problems with...

RE: Battery question

I would try to get some NiMh packs that are 3300 mah or higher. If you want better performance I would also make sure you get matched cell packs. A good charger for these packs would be the...

RE: What is a good charger for truck/car packs?

I would try a simple Intellipeak charger like this one from Towerhobbies, http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXHJB4&P=7. I have one and they are simple and dead useful for charging NiCd...

RE: why do you use simulators?

Sims are worth their weight in gold. I fly airplanes and helicopters 3D in both and I can only say that because of my simulator. I flew airplanes for the longest time, but I wanted to start flying...

RE: Anyone Run Sims on an Intel Macbook?

You are only going to want to consider running the sims of a MacBook Pro for the graphics card and make sure you have atleast a gig of RAM. But besides that, it will run great. Of course that...

RE: The "Flight Sim for Mac" Protest!

I have a Mac that is running Boot Camp and it seems to run the simulator fine. I do think that they should offer more than just a version for PC however.

RE: One CPU or dual core for simulator?

I would definitely go with the dual core. It will be especially beneficial for the physics and graphics engines that are running simultaneously in the simulators. I have an intel dual core processor...

RE: Would you trust your large gas plane to cheaper Hitec radio equipment ???

I have used Hitec servos for 8 years without a problem. I personally do not see much difference between the three complanies when it somes to servos and receivers. I have seen Hitec servos go bad, a...

RE: What battery setup in my 35%,,,

I would recommend two NiMh 2700's from Batteries America. I have used these in a couple of third scales and friends have used them in 40%'s. They are great packs with ample battery life. I can...

I would think that story to be almost impossible regarding the drawing too much current. What kind of heli is it? It sounds like the guy sold you a dud, but that's just my opinion. As far as fixing...

RE: Are FlatOuts any good?

In my opinion they are pretty much the cheapest built foamy on the market. I am not going to say that they fly like crap or anything like that, but I have seen them literally fall apart during flight...

RE: I am searching for a perfect airplane

Yeh the AirfoilZ does look like a nice airfoiled plane, and I know that RCSkydiving.com has a plane called the Leading Edge that is also airfoiled and flys like a real 3D plane.

RCSkydiving.com has an airfoiled Edge 540 that handles really well in the wind. Also, I believe Fancy Foam has a few models that carry some weight and our good for outdoors if you set them up right....

RE: Spektrum DX6

Yeh if you want more than three flights a day then I would definitely upgrade. The 600 NiCd just does not cut it for most people. I would recommend something like a 1600 NiMh that is what I am...
