RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

Yea, its with the live hinging. The flaps are hinged at the bottom and they do butt up against the wing - but when you compare it with the root of the wing a the fuselage it's not even unless I...

RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

I've searched this thread and haven't found anything on this topic -
Looks like I will need to take off a bit from the leading edge of the flap in order to get them to a full up position and even...

RE: Futaba 12FG trainer cord - who has it in stock?

Tower is now showing these back ordered until "Early August"
They were originally saying "Late July".

Anyone know of a local hobby store that might have one?

RE: QQ 85

These holes are all of the way through. Filler won't work here I don't think. Nothing to back it.

RE: QQ 85

While I was away from my plane the other day my transmitter apparently fell off of a table and landed on the horizontal stab. It didn't break the stab off but the sheeting has two holes from the...

Futaba 12FG trainer cord - who has it in stock?

Anyone know of any place that has a 12FG trainer cord in stock? Tower shows it back ordered until sometime in July.

Thanks!

RE: Professional Viper 2M Build

Does this include the servos to actuate the valves in the "non-bling" setup?
The EVSD-5U doesn't need servos since its all electronic.

RE: evsd-5u-pro multi valve

If air is escaping from the cylinder in that fashion, should the landing gear have not worked even with an air pump connected to the airline without using a valve?

RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

It might - I'll check that. I still might not have enough clearance on the tab thickness with the screw head.

RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

Next set of questions.

For those of you that received the plastic L-brackets for mounting the servos. How did you secure them to the servo? Mike suggested using blind nuts on the back side. That...

RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

Thanks - you didn't add any additional support? No problems encountered at all from the removal? Just making sure before I take a dremel to it :D

RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

Did you guys have to remove material from the canopy to fit the cockpit?
Notice the front cross former in the canopy preventing the cockpit from fitting.

RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

I've started. I'm using standard servos in both the rudder, flaps and ailerons. I am going to have to cut away a bit of the tabs or the L-brackets to get them to fit though. It will be tight. I don't...

RE: Maj. Woody's Fei Bao L-39

I received the model last month. In certain areas the design has changed considerably from the one in this thread.
Some for the better, some for the worse I think.

I did not receive aluminum...

RE: I love these new Hanger 9 control arms!

Coming from giant scale 3D where the arms needed to as long as you could fit :)

What do you guys generally use? 1" arms? 1 1/2"?

Hysol - Control Horns

I'm about to finally get started on a build of my first jet. Anything special you guys do when gluing the control horns in?

I also read that the longer 6" nozzles don't give a good mix. Is that...

I purged into a catch jar initially. It seemed to be moving through but when connected to the kero plug it didn't look like much was going through at all.

Would changing that setting effect the...

Got it going - ran fine.

Tried to restart again and nothing, doesn't look like any fuel draw again.

Do I have to purge the lines of air all the way to the teflon tube or just the 3mm to the festo?

I purged the 3mm but did not have the teflon connected and I cannot get a start. Startup times...
