RE: For those of you whining about how Slash 4x4 isn't a good racer....

Shortcourse trucks have started to downfall? Really?? All of the SCT's are right around the same money new, tuning is free with a little knowledge and time unless you're just throwing money at it...

RE: scam? your opinions?

It a scam, not many questions about the item for sale but plenty of instructions and excuses. I wouldn't rip it up, take the "check" and all info you have been given to the Post Office or Police and...

RE: 2 Stroke Double the power?

It's a discussion on a public forum, not a clog the thread contest.

RE: Favorite Short Course Truck?

I disagree with this, I own a FT SC10 and a Slash and the Slash is much tougher and can be made a decent racer. The SC10 is a great racer set up correctly and can be made into a decent basher with...

RE: 2 Stroke Double the power?

There are some interesting answers.
Technically, yes you would need double the displacement with a 4 stroke to equal the power potential of a 2 stroke. Every time a two stroke piston comes up in...

RE: $600 budget, what would you do?

I don't think anybody should get a Duratrax, especially if you have $600.00 to get started with.
The SC10 is a great racing truck when set up correctly but not the best choice for bashing.

RE: Storing Lipo's

Cold doesn't hurt them unless it's really cold (-40F) but they need to be warmed up before use.

As far as leaving batteries at cutoff, it depends on where the LVC is set. If you're cutting off...

RE: Storing Lipo's

Are thet still using the big box trucks? Or did they switch to the smaller vans?
They are still using the big, loud, clanky box trucks around me and the driver leaves it in gear as he's coasting...

RE: Vxl or Sidewinder sct

The Castle SCT system isn't rated for 3s in a 4x4 truck with the included 3600kv motor, only 2wd.

RE: Storing Lipo's

It should be fine.
I actually have my ESC set up so the low voltage cutoff is at 3.6v per cell so I can run till I hit the LVC, remove and wipe down the battery and then I can just put it away...

RE: Finally moving to a 2.4 radio

I made the switch to 2.4 based solely on the fact of no more frequency conflicts. There was nothing that aggravated me more than to be in a race and have someone turn on their radio in the pits and...
