RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

Exhaust deflector worked well for me, only have to clean the last 1/3 of the fuse and tail.

I used these, but mine are green. Nice 'n' Cheap :) (I think the colored ones are discontinued now.)

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

Oh crud, i forgot to mention that too! I think it's because that's where I grip it when I turn it over with the starter. It has never crept forward on me while operating though, so I didn't think...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

Tailwheel once again broke on landing (solder joint) sending the plane off the runway. Minor wingtip damage, but could have been worse, lol. :( I'd recommend to all who haven't done so to purchase...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

I'm sure it'd fly fine with that 4-stroke. Don't expect power to pull you out of a hairy situation low to the deck though lol. I'm flyin mine with a TT GP-42, and some have used an O.S. 40 LA and...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with tailwheel issues, lol!

Here was my solution: I just beefed up the solder on the springy wire to solid wire crimpy thing, then put the spring wire into...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

It has dual servos. I was surprised as well. I looked it over and it doesn't seem to be out of whack anywhere. I'll have to try more inverted flight at a high altitude to get the hang of it. It...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

Flight report!

The wind calmed down enough for me to have 5 tanks of fun! I would have flown til it got dark, but You'll read about my incident later on in this post.

The plane handles...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

Decalage?

Hi all, I'm getting back into r/c after a 10 year break. I picked up a used trainer to knock off the rust and took it for a few flights. I'm glad I didn't crash it, the first flight was a heart...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Go with the direct drive tail. Solved my problem of lack of authority when I juiced the heli. It's well worth the 20 dollar or so investment. Get the tail fin as well from GWS and route the prop...

RE: Falcon 40 (Exceed heli) Forum

Hey all!

I'm hitting a snag learning forward flight. I'll chock it up to the wind here, because it makes the heli want to skyrocket whenever i turn into it, yet if I cut power in anticipation...
