RE: Which New 2.4 Transmitter Would You Choose?

Why just one?  I use a DX8 for "bind and fly" and the Airtronics 10G for everything else.  If I hadn't purchased the 10G , I would have given the Hitec a good look over... I used Hitec the most when...

RE: How many would opt out of Model Aviation?

So, all costs = $1,655,029
Income = $820,339
Net cost = $834,690

139,515 members charged $18 = $2,511,270

For a net gain on MA of $1,676,580 (roughly)

If the insurance is only $971,280...

RE: What do you use to field charge?(power source)

Sears makes a rechargeable power inverter.  You end up with two plugs at 12V and two plugs at 110V.  Mine comes with a light, a air pump and a charger for USB.  I think they are around $100.  Cool...

RE: Press Release from AMA - Update on Upcoming FAA regulation changes

You are ignorant of who I am and what I do, so I'll let that pass... But I have a hard time thinking I'll ever be your "ol buddy". Taking wild stabs at entire states is rather inappropriate, as I'm...

RE: Press Release from AMA - Update on Upcoming FAA regulation changes

Oh, thats an easy one.
I remind folks(AMA members) that we(AMA) are here to protect the hobby,
not to secure our own privileges while watching the bus roll over the hobby.
Seems a bunch of...

RE: Press Release from AMA - Update on Upcoming FAA regulation changes

Try and keep up and stay on point... this is about the AMA and the FAA... not what state you reside in. I'll ask again... what have you actually done to keep your hobby safe and sound for future...

RE: Press Release from AMA - Update on Upcoming FAA regulation changes

The AMA, that's all of us, have kept this hobby alive. Without the AMA, every hobby manufacturer and shop would close. Without the AMA the next hair-brained legislation would ban everything we do...

RE: Pending FAA restrictions on RC

I saw this tread earlier on RCU. Apparently the people involved were from France. They came over to pull a bone-head stunt like this and we end up with the FAA looking at American fliers. We all...

RE: You Can Win First Place at a Warbird Rally With An ARF? Really?

I don't see the problem. The plane is pre-fabed. Like the engine and the radio aren't. Where do you stop? Did you mix your own fuel? Did you manufacture your own covering, develop your own...
