RE: My

That's your opinion. My opinion is those that buy that junk only care about saving money and couldn't care less that such company's hurt the industry as a whole. They are not releasing new...

RE: My

The Sidewinders are cheap unless you only buy stuff from Hobbyjunk and its affiliates. You could go with the Sabertooth from dimension engineering. But after shipping and such its not all that cheap...

RE: My

I am putting dual Castle sidewinders in a Blizzard soon. So I would suggest the Castle sidewinder for your project.

RE: please i need feedback

If the steering servo is on the chassis and the suspension collapses the steering links will become longer even with a pan hard setup. All the pan hard does is hold the axle in place. You can adjust...

RE: please i need feedback

You can have the servo on the axle and a pan hard setup on some rigs.

RE: My

The holmes BR esc is strange. Its more money than a Castle SV but handles the same amps. It does have a better bec and is rated to 6 cell lipo but at 80 amps even 3s lipo is a bit to much for it. So...

RE: My

While the XL-5 can handle a lot of power its constant ratings are very low. This causes it to be really weak. If you ever decide to upgrade you might like the new SV3 from castle. You would have to...

RE: 1st attempt at scratch built chassis ,its a runner now

Looks good so far. And just encase it becomes a hassle the Venom Safari chassis will bolt right up to what you have.

RE: school me on the tamiya hilux

You dont need to use the swash plate. It limits what you can do a bit but stops your buddy from trying to destroy your rather complicated transmission. As to the 3 position switch it does work. But...

RE: school me on the tamiya hilux

Then its the same as the Bruiser. Reason for the dual stick remote has nothing to do with the channels. The Tamiya 3 speed has the ability to shift on the fly. Trying to do this with a 3 position...

RE: school me on the tamiya hilux

First off which Hilux? There is the original that was basically a Bruiser and the new one that is the same as a F-350 High Lift. There is a big difference in how they operate. The old one prefers a...

RE: thunder tiger reversing y harness??

Then your not doing it right. Flipping the servo or the arm will reverse the direction of the movement. If the servo is mounted to the axle then automatically it should be reversed when you install...

RE: thunder tiger reversing y harness??

If you can not position the servo in a way that will work then you do need a reversing y harness. But you should have no trouble getting it to work by just flipping the servo or arm.

RE: trail truck/crawler

If you want a proper scale truck that can work everywhere then you might like the High Lift series from Tamiya. It is more expensive and its crawling ability is no where near that of the 4 linked...

Need a little help with a Futaba T6J

I just got this radio and am not used to all the programing options. The manual probably has the answers I need but its not giving them up without a fight. I plan to use the radio for a ground...

RE: Next project: Tamiya Tundra Highlift

The High Lift can get over many obstacles with ease if your a decent driver. It wont work at extreme angles and does not have the best clearance. But its not so terrible that an axial rig will run...

RE: Tamiya Hi Lift Tundra/Futaba 7c

You only need a 4ch radio to fully operate a High Lift even with the sound and light kit. Personally I feel the sound and light kit is a waste of money. For what it costs you can buy a proper...

RE: Servo's

The esc powers the receiver in most cases. But a esc cant handle high draw setups. To fix this problem you can use a receiver pack to power the receiver and servos or a external bec. To run such...

RE: Servo's

Get some Savox 0251mg's. They produce 222oz of torque and only cost about 35 dollars. The only issues you might have are they don't work well when powered off a esc and they are about 1/4 inch taller.

A esc with more amps/lower turn limit will be more powerful.

RE: Finally I got Toyota Tundra High-Lift

I got lucky and picked mine up for 400 rtr with a 4ch radio. If I had to buy everything I still would have. Its a sweet rig that has more than enough grunt to put even bigger trucks in their place. I...

RE: HSP 1/8 crawler

If price really does not bother you a whole lot then name brand is the way to go. The big companies offer better quality, parts support, and design. They also have much larger aftermarket support....

RE: HSP 1/8 crawler

I feel you would be better off buying a name brand rig in the 2.2 class. If you want a cheap crawler the Exceed Max Stone is not to bad but for a few more dollars you could build a venom creeper. If...
