SPAD Sloper on Chandler Butte!

Very nice video. I must say that your plane is probably the nicest looking SPADs I have seen, and it appears to fly just as well.

I think that the Butterfly (just search on here with that as your keyword) from Dynaflight would suit your purpose much better. It has a larger wingspan (99") and it comes from the factory designed...

Powering my Glider!

There are new Lithium Polymer cells available from FMA Direct that will power a Speed 400 system. I would also recommend a gearbox and larger prop as opposed to direct drive.

From model to homebuilt

Sounds like your looking for a BD-5! Those things are a definate low-bucks alternative to a jet. I think they do around 280 mph on less than 100hp.

You've definately come to the right place!
Unfortunately a DLG doesn't make the best training platform especially if your going to learn on your own. That isn't to say that you couldn't teach...

Wattage Reno Racer P-51 Anyone?

Try really light fibreglass cloth (less that .75oz) and water-based polyurethane varnish. It's lighter and easier to work with than epoxy and it should give the fuse the extra beef it needs.
