RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

Perhaps something wrong with your steering servo... You may need to provide more details than you did in order to diagnose your problem.

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

Dadders braces could rarely be found on ebay and they don't have a site as far as I know anymore. Therefore, your only bet is to get on the Global Services (XTM) forums and see if anybody happens to...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

I have seen people make them on the XTM forums but I have no idea how they do it. You have to be into metal working and know what you're doing. Occasionally, Dadders braces go up for sale on ebay...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

Your bro's gonna be happy with that 457, I've heard a lot of good things about it. He may also want to upgrade the pipe while he's at it too. A pipe out of the JP series should fit him well. Looks...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

I would say that the Mammoth ST, stock with the 2 speed would have to top out somewhere near 45 mph or so. As far as drag racing, I think the CEN would probably take the Mammoth off the line for...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

I'm happy to see you got everything back together alright Nick. Your bro's truck really looks great, perhaps you can get a little video footage when he takes it to the track tomorrow. Again, nice job...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

Yeah, by all around I meant a mid range pipe. Something that would benefit not specifically the lower or higher end but something that would be a middle point. I know each function of each of the JP...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

All I said dude that the JP-3 would be his best bet for midrange/all around. You know that happy middle? Geez, the flaming and all that crap has gotta go. And it's HITEC, not "Hitech". Yes, I do like...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

It all depends on what you want out of your engine. I'll just assume you want something for all around so I would recommend the Jammin JP-3, it's a little pricey but it will do wonders as far as...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

The Mammoth ST RTR comes standard with a Hitec Aggressor AM radio. Not too great of a radio if you ask me, and I would say that you could get more crystals and stick them in your other rx/tx.

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

I wasn't sure the Hellfire would fit and I didn't check the dimensions before I posted. If he wants to try it, let him. Also, I have seen plenty of guys on XTM use the MGT sized bodies with minimal...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

You could try the Hellfire body, but I think 1/8th scale MT bodies, specifically the MGT would be your best bet.

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

To answer your question about the body, I had to go onto the XTM forums and search for it as I do not remember exactly. However, I did find the information I was looking for. One guy, on his Mammoth...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

There's other options you can choose for a steering servo, and if you're interested lemme know and I can look into it further. However, the 5955TG has titanium gears and it's digital. I'm just saying...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

For that Blue Bird servo, are you talking about steering? If you are, I would definitely recommend the Hitec 5955TG once your bro can pick up some extra cash. The 5955TG packs 333oz of torque, enough...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

As far as the drilling went on my ST, nick, it was a pain in the ass to install those two modifications. There's a lot of precise drilling that needs to be done or else everything is thrown out of...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

Well, for the steering servo, I highly recommend the Hitec 5955TG with the stock tire setup. Those tires are wide and huge, and the 5955TG, offering 333oz of torque is more than enough to turn those...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

That's quite unusual that they don't specify what size those bearings are. Very strange. I'm really not sure though, I'm sorry about that. However, if you haven't opened the package of the servo...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

First off, I have the bumper taken from the XTM XLB seen here: http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/149906.asp
It works and it takes up less space going outward than the stock ST bumper which I kind...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

That's quite unusual how Dadders is taking that long to do business with you all. However, he's a great guy, so is Jerry over at RC Visions. Those 2 upgrades are really valuable, I had both installed...

RE: Can I Have an official Mammoth ST thread?

If you were into jumping or worried about stripping gears, you would feel that same way all of us with the single speed do. I gotta hand it to you though, I like the 2 speed too, I just didn't wanna...
