those plastics arms arent the best and trying to get an allen bolt to hold in there is crazy
I take it a set of the metal arms is in the post [X(][X(]

Dont suppose you have a bench grinder or dremel with a grinding stone as you could use that by putting the shaft into a drill and turning at a slower rate than the bench grinder/dremel;):D:D

The CNC lathe i use at work is for hardened steel (Tooling for Punch presses) all you would need is a ceramic tip to rough out the material

But as Bubba said its not even case hardened so you...

2)metal suspension arms
