Yeah, I hope Mike is still building it, and that he posts some more pics. That project is a real inspiration. I just returned from a club float fly on Wixom Lake, in Mich., and I'm getting the itch...

lazer-works.com does lots of short kits in that price range, or less.

My AK models SU-27 kit was laser cut, and is complete with all sheeting cut to size for $130.

My point is that I like...

Unless the kit is really reasonably priced, I'll probably cut my own. With a bench sized bandsaw and a disc sander, I can do anything. :D

I'd love to build some of Ivan's birds, but with the winds we have around here (near Lake Michigan) those lightweight electrics just don't do well.
