Any time you assmble something that uses an o-ring or any other type of seal it should be lube up real well. A dry o-ring will stretch and bunch up when you tighten the fuel filter. I never had one...

KC, I have no desire to argue, all I am saying is that from the flying and testing that I have done it makes no differance. A few years ago I tested this with a festo filter mounted horizontally...
