RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Jeff - I have not used the foam around the joints but it would be a quick thing to test. The sorbothane is unique. I think it is similar to the gel but is specifically manufactured for the sole...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

I switched all those nylon screws out for metal. A few weeks ago I had a bad crash over a shopping mall of all places due to a screw head popping off when the blades were clipping a cross piece due...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

I asked Mike once about the fuse. He told me it was installed to blow when a motor has an internal short. You can also unplug your wiring harness and apply just 1.5v to each motor to see that they...

scottslc - great video on the cabin piece! At last another idea for stabilization. Maybe we will come up with a hybrid design that will work more easily and get rid of ALL the jitter! I am also...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Hi everyone,

Yes the carbon fiber blades are more stable, efficient, and dangerous however they should never snap apart in flight.

Some of you wondered what RCToys wanted to talk to me...

BESHAW2 - I also encountered that after receiving my board back from Mike. He sent me a new one in place of it at the time. It might be better if they could test fly every repaired board before...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

One thing I forgot to mention is that I am using wider angle lenses with the camera. This will also reduce visible vibration.

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

The camera and transmitter are the same as the the eyecam extreme from rc-toys. You just have to modify the wiring for this arrangement.

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Yes. To reduce the vibration on each axis - x-y-z! I am not positive that the rotational axis is the most problematic however I gave it two stages there as you can see. Each level reduces the...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

Arcavision - Your video was great. Sorry to hear you have a set back. 300' is a long fall. Was it hard to find the flyer? I have been thinking that it would be a good idea if we could install a...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

It is about impossible to get good video with all that vibration and jitter going on. See how your video compares when not in flight. Keep your transmitter antenna at least 15 feet from the...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

NO. You need the CCD Eyecam extreme or equvilent to get that kind of resolution. What I posted is highly compressed however. The actual video is much better but is too large of a file to put on...

RE: Draganfly iv. Anyone flew it?Control?

The lens I have used is the 2.9mm lens. I also bought the 2.45mm lens although I have not used it yet. I think this camera is the same as the Eyecam extreme but you have to solder your own conector...
