RE: need help picking engine.

Doesn't mean everyone shouldn't do that. ;) That's like telling a car owner to never use a torque stick for wheels just screw them in with a lug wrench till they are tight. Use loctite on engine...

RE: need help picking engine.

People strip gears because A) the engine mounts come loose being no blue loctite was not used and B) improper gear mesh. The .18TZ is overkill and the stock clutch setup for the Racer 2 will not...

RE: OFNA LD3 Whats your say Quick!

Right. It has been so long I run the MTX4 and MRX4X anyway. :) CD3 pro will be my pic for parking lot bashing when dealing with debris of all sorts.

RE: need help picking engine.

If you just want to have fun the OS .12CVR is a nice fit. For more power the .18CVR will also fit in that car as it has the same mounting dimensions of the .12. Make sure you get a standard cut...

RE: OFNA LD3 Whats your say Quick!

My mistake it was the CD3 Pro. The upgraded version of the LD3 but both nice cars.

RE: OFNA LD3 Whats your say Quick!

I owned the LD3 pro and it is quite the contender next to the NTC3. The car is quite durable and with a good setup it hauls. You won't have any worry of debris getting in belts, however most nitro...

RE: help my yokomo wont shift 2 gear

I believe that car used the finger style clutch. You need to adjust the 2speed shoe spring till you hear the car shift. You can do this by revving the car in the air for a second to make sure it...

RE: Nitro RS4 or Nitro TC3?

The NTC3 would be a better option box stock in terms of quality. Durability however goes to the HPI being it is more beefy and suited for parking lot bashing. If you intend to do club racing go for...

RE: NEED HELP WITH OLD RC MEGATECH

The car you have wouldn't happen to the the NEO TNT would it? If it is the Razor XT or the NEO TNT you need to use a standard crank. However if you change the flywheel nut to the SG style you'd be...

RE: Nova 21-4 vs RB C6

It's not about which is better suited. It's all about your setup. When drivers choose an engine some things come to mind.

Reliability - How can the engine stand up to the strenuous events of...

RE: The Official Traxxas Slash short-course race truck

Hows it going guys? Haven't been on here in ages. Just poppin in to meet the other Slash owners. Sadly my local track decides to host races at times in which I'd be just getting off work or still...

RE: VXl vs. Mamba Max(4600,or 5700kv)

Go with the Mamba sidewinder or Max ESC and the Velineon motor. The traxxas BL motor has a larger core and produces more torque. Overall it is a bit more potent than the mamba max motors and doesn't...

RE: GOING FOR 100MPH OR DIE TRYING.......

Not sure. I think the other club who uses our spot when we aren't there want to claim the land. As of right now there are no races at Floyd - just practice with no stand.

RE: RB Concept S7C MSC 7-Port On-Road Competition Circuit Engine w/2006 Tuned Pipe (Standard Plug)

The Picco plugs are the one to use. Any others will strip the head button, cause air leaks and void the warranty if there is one on the engine.

RE: I Need input on a Ofna CD3 car guys

Most magazines will categorize the car in the same class as the NTC3 and excludes it from the other better brands. However, if you have the driving technique you can give the other guys a run for the...

RE: I Need input on a Ofna CD3 car guys

I have owned and raced a CD3 pro while I had the R40, and now currently onto the MTX4. You can still get the CD3 pro and NTC3 at many places - it's not entirely discontinued.

RE: Glow plug Hot Medium Cold

I'd also like to add two plugs from different manufacturers rated cold or hot will not be the same. A Novarossi cold plug can be as equal to one of RB's hot plugs. Always check to be sure you are...

RE: Hyper7 or turmoil

Go for the 8.5 pro. It is a much better car and you can find them used for a good price. I got mine for $230 with a bunch of spares. Just had to get my own engine, piper, servos, and done.

RE: I Need input on a Ofna CD3 car guys

I honestly prefer the CD3 pro over the NTC3. It is a much more sturdier car especially the front one way diff. Overall the Kyosho FW05RR takes the cake - best shaft driven tourer hands down. No way...

RE: RB Concept S7C MSC 7-Port On-Road Competition Circuit Engine w/2006 Tuned Pipe (Standard Plug)

Hey there. The S7C is a decent starter engine for 8th onroad, but honestly I would spend the money on the Picco P9 EVO. It is much more powerful for a few bucks more and just as reliable. Unlike the...

RE: Increasing cornering speed

If you plan to race 8th onroad, don't do it without using a Hudy setup station. This setup gauge kit is crucial for the best handling. For 8th onroad in general I start with the factory setup and...

RE: .21 on road engine

The Vspec problem of the bearings has been fix. The VZR is the engine you want for 8th onroad. However the Picco P9 EVO is the best bang for buck 8th onroad engine under $300. It will run with all...

RE: GOING FOR 100MPH OR DIE TRYING.......

Most definitely a Lola is best for a high speed run to keep the car more stable. Otherwise for regular racing touring shell all the way. :) Haven't been on this site in years! :D
