I would bet that there is absolutely no need for glassing. You need to see what is inside the hull. Is there a deck joint? Cabins you may be able to get off? Does it sound hollow if you tap on it? If...

I would just use the trim on the radio to set your idle, that's kinda what it's there for. As for tuning, the manufacturers usually set the lsn at the factory, and is generally a good place to start....

I have used the west systems to bond polyester components, and it failed. The problem has something to do with the polyester. Don't know what it is. Anyways, if your dead set on using epoxies, try...

epoxies in general don't hold up well when gluing polyester components. The best thing to use is polyester resin. With polyester, you can reduce the "gel time" with the amount of catalyst you put...

Hello all,
We have 2 nitro rustlers. We have gone through several spur gears recently, I thought they were stripping, but each time I took them off, I noticed that the metal bushing had melted the...

RE: What to do with old nitro?

Look at the fuel. Is it still clear? The only real contaminant that you should be worrying about is moisture. Methanol is highly hydroscopic, meaning it likes to suck up moisture. When it does,...

RE: jato 1/4 tank cutoff

The pinch seems like a likely culprit, however it seems to have good compression when warm. Also, we tested the fuel system by shutting the high speed needle and and blowing into the pressure line. ...

RE: I am looking for a christmas present

If your gonna be into racing, I would suggest that you go to your local track, or his local track, as the case may be, and find out what the most popular classes there are. If he's just gonna be...

RE: whats the draw?

I started with sailboats, so I can understand the "chess game" aspect of it. I won't be getting into crawling, because I live on the eastern shore of virginia, there isn't a rock for 100 miles that...

whats the draw?

First, I am not dissing rock crawling. I was just wondering what the draw is to this? It seems to be gaining more and more popularity, and I can't for the life of me understand why. I've never...

jato 1/4 tank cutoff

Allright, a buddy of mine has a jato 3.3, and about 1/4 of the way through the tank, it suddenly quits and won't restart until it's cooled off. I'm assuming that he's got an air leak, so how do you...

RE: Engine Break-in during Cold Weather

Are any of you that are giving advice here familiar with the break in procedure and use of the traxxas 3.3? I've dealt with several of them, and gobs of 2.5's, and a 300' warehouse wouldn't be long...

RE: desert T upgrade musts?

new receiver and speed control. How high powered are you going? If moderate, you probably don't need anything else, ecxept maybe some lipos to keep up with the motor. If extreme, you might want to...

RE: How to scale down speed on Vendetta for an 8yr old???

A smaller tooth pinion gear will lower speeds, and it will also reduce the strain on the motor. Lot of misconceptions there. I have a five year old that runs with a 2.5r rustler, and does it pretty...

RE: Difference between 3 and 4 wire servo

2 options, either get a new servo, which can be like 12-15 bucks, or go back to the stock esc/receiver/servocircuitry. I would opt for getting a new servo personally, not a big fan of the integrated...

RE: One quick vxl-rc18 question

I think it's way too much power. The vxl is actually larger than most brushed motors of it's class. It can be done, but you would probably have to run a very small pinion to keep the power in check...

After you take of the spring, there is a screw that holds the servo saver on. Remove that screw, and pull the whole servo saver off the servo. There is a splined shaft under it that the servo saver...
