Seems to be a trend with the Sterling kits. My worst ones were the Sterling Stearman and Stanley Ercoupe. The Stearman was so bad and so old their phone # on the plans was only 5 digits. 1" thick ply...

I'd like to see an update to the 4*120 kit to make it a 2-piece wing. Only reason I don't have one now is I don't have the vehicle to transport an 80" wing in one piece.

Just tried some for the first time a few weeks ago. There is definitely a learning curve to using them. With a regular blade, it kind of helps guide you becasue if you push off to the side slightly,...

I found a few programs designed to help woodworkers figure out how to lay out parts on a sheet of ply to get the best fit so I am going to see if I can adapt one of those to work for smaller boards...

I'm getting read to cut out a run of kits and am planning on cutting my own sticks from sheets to minimize the cost. Maybe it's just old age kicking in, but I'm having trouble coming up with an easy...

HK and VH covering are not quite the same. I've tried both, and think both are good quality, but there are some slight differences. I've only tried the white from VH, but it actually feels a little...

I've been using it for the last 6-8 models I've built from .40 size to 50cc gassers. I love the stuff. Doesn't seem to wrinkle in the sun near as bad. I've left the wings in the cab of my truck...

RE: OMP Hybrid Edge 540 Build

I think the 55R will be a great choice because of the narrow fuse. It should fit in the cowl area a lot easier.

RE: Great Planes Giant Ugly Stick

+1 on the Radio South hinges. If you're going to go CA hinges, they are the ones to use. Used them for years on everything from 40 size to gassers and never had a failure. Now I did have one on a...

RE: New guy in East TN, What all did I buy?

I'd like to offer a different opinion of some of the less expensive covering options. True, a lot of the China Kote stuff is junk, but I have had VERY good luck with the stuff Hobby King sells. Done...

RE: HOBBYKING - NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!

Personally, I love their covering. Works quite well and it a LOT less expensive than Mono or Ultra. I've covered everything from .40 size profiles to 50cc planes with it and it has worked perfectly....

RE: If you could only have FIVE airplanes, what would they be?

1. WrongWayRC 50cc Laminar Wing Sukhoi profile
2. Mojo .60 from Swanyshouse.com
3. OMP 50cc Hybrid
4. Sig 4*60
5. That's enough! No need for anything else.

RE: RC Guys Super Decathlon coming

If it was just a few clicks I wouldn't worry about it but the ailerons and ruddder are almost 1/4" off center, so something is amiss. Just tried my incidence meter but it isn't wide enough to fit the...
