RE: Funtana 40?

Just keep this in mind.
less weight = more fun.

I'm running 9011's and a ds3421 for the rudder with a YS63 up front. The heaviest servo in there is the standard on the throttle (just never...

RE: Best engine for 3D on Funtana .40

I love my ys 63 my my 40 funtana. On %30, it's a powerhouse. I've never seen a 2 stroke that can match (or even come close to) the throttle response of a YS. That being said, a saito would do nicely...

RE: YS 63FZ or Saito 72???

I actually had to touch the needle on my 63 for the first time since heck I don't remember when *gasp*. In fact it was the slightest bit hesitant to start *bigger gasp*. It turned out to be the...

RE: Best fuel for YS 110??

I've been using wildcat 20/20 for a while, but here lately, I've become addicted to the 30 percent heli mix. It's a little more expensive though...

RE: funtana "tip stalls"? gyroscopic precession?

I may be totally wrong as I'm not an expert, but it seems that all of the guys "in the know" here refer to gyroscopic precession though it is an on and off kind of thing. Gyroscopic precession may...

RE: Torque requirement

Sport Pilot there's a lot more air rushing over those large 3d surfaces in slow manuvers than you would think. Take a hover for instance. The plane isn't moving, but the plane's weight in thrust is...

RE: Fiber-Lite customer service?'s

seanychen, to be honest I had to look to be sure. I'm running a YS63 with the stock muffler pointing down and out at around 45 degrees both ways. The muffler does point in the general direction of...

RE: Fiber-Lite customer service?'s

IowaSilvia I think you need to keep cutting grass with your stock gear or make some c/f gear yourself. That way you won't have to whine when someone doesn't rush to kiss your derriere if it breaks. I...

RE: Whats a good second Glow plane ARF?

I'm sure there are some who will disagree with this, but I say a UCANDO3D 60 would be a great second plane. Just make sure that you have the rates set very low. The plane is nearly as forgiving as a...

RE: Funtana Knife Edge

The rudder authority is my only complaint for the funtana. As it stands now, when I want a nice roll rate, I'll fly the funtana. If I want rudder authority, I'll fly the UCANDO....

Still...

RE: Ultimate engine for the Funtana 40

Yup, you said it yourself a funtana with one of these motors would fit the bill....
My personal preference is the YS 63, but you're going to get lots of opinions. Go with the brand that you like...

RE: Funtana 40 "what to expect" on Maiden help

Chef I just maidened my funtana yesterday. I have a ys63 on her and the c/g was well behind the suggested 5 and whatever inches (I was in the 6" range). I figured that I would have a wild ride on my...

cost of gas at the pump will keep me from traveling

I don't know about you guys, but gas prices are the best excuse to keep from traveling all over the place. I prefer to just stay home and fly.

Okay okay I'll sneak out for the...

RE: Aeroworks Katana S

Wow that really doesn't sound like the aeroworks I know of. I have a good friend who flies a %33 extra and it's an extremely nice plane. Are you sure he didn't accidently order a GSP? :):)

RE: 2 engine recommendations :)

A1programmer it all depends on your price range my friend.

Is that .65 or so going in a 60 sized aerobatice plance? Depending on your experience, you might want to venture into the 4 stroke...

RE: YS .63 will it run on 15%?

It'll run, but you must give up all right to complain about the power output or tuning :).

RE: 3D plane for a YS 110

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the widebody 60. It may be a good choice if you don't mind a little building.

RE: What propellers do you use on your 4-Stroke? and why?

Running APC's here. They're pretty cheap unless you break a lot of props. If that's the case, do a tank full of touch 'n go's every other flight until you're greasing it every time. Hope this helps...

RE: 15x4w enough for YS91FZ?

I think the 15x4 is going to be a little small for that engine. I'm running a 15x6 on my fz and the spool up is instant. It pulls the UCANDO around really well too. I have a 16x4 lying around, but...

RE: UCANDO 3D

I have a 60 and I love it. I'm running a ys91 on it with 9011's on the ele, 531's on the ail, and a 4131 on the rudder... all running on 6 volts. I have a friend who used standard servos with his and...

RE: YS63S or Saito82 for the H9 Twist?

YS63 - a proven pumped stump puller that's readily available.

Saito82 - Not out yet so no one knows how well it performs. Most all speculation is based on manufacturers past history.
