Hopefully you can get that engine sorted out. Hate them dead stick crashes that most of us have experienced.

I'd run it. Just readjust your needles. That fuel has more oil than car fuel which is what I run in my nitro vehicles anyway. Have yet to smoke an engine. Seen a lot of people that do though.

Wouldn't this thread do better in an airplane forum, instead of a gas engine forum? The problem was with a plane not an engine. Do they even sell engines anymore? I know they use to sell some Chinese...

Probably better to ask at the other giant sites. In guessing, I bet a 27x10 would be close. I use Mejlik carbon props on my big stuff. A lot of guys have gone to Falcon.

Smooth engine for sure. Know a guy that has one. He had to replace the reeds with Boysens because they frayed. Not a lot of run time on the engine. 21x8 or 10 was the prop. Can't remember which.

Worst case scenario is that you could send the piston to one of the companies that do coatings. You could have a skirt coating applied. Also have the crown of the piston done.
