RE: gy240 on shogun

As long as the sticker is facing straight up or straight down, it doesn't matter how else it is mounted. The wires can be coming out to whatever side you want, even diagonally if you wanted...

First of all, check the gyro, do this by plugging in your rx, of course you don't need to start up...

RE: SHOGUN TAIL DANCE? GY401

Thunder Power is always a good choice and I'm gonna try Poly Quest in my Hbird soon, they have the best construction I've seen and a cool safety feature, they are a little heavier than the others but...

RE: SHOGUN TAIL DANCE? GY401

RE: SHOGUN TAIL DANCE? GY401

Actually, it's opposite of what you just said... The servo will make quicker movements on the outside hole. I guess try picturing yourself holding a broom stick in your fist with the stick...

RE: SHOGUN TAIL DANCE? GY401

The delay is for slower servo's, when the gyro gives a command, if the servo is on the slower side, by the time the servo finishes the command, the gyro is giving the next command to counter etc....

RE: SHOGUN TAIL DANCE? GY401

On the gy 401, the gains and HH are controlled by the transmitter. Only Digital servo mode and gyro reversing and Delay are controlled directly on the gyro itself.

RE: SHOGUN TAIL DANCE? GY401

If it's a heli radio, most likely, your gyro gains would be adjusted the same way as you'd adjust epa's and curves etc. You just have to go into your menu, then to gyro gain and adjust accordingly. ...

RE: SHOGUN TAIL DANCE? GY401

Whenever you make changes like different mount and/or servo's etc. a lot of times, the gain will need to be adjusted to fine tune.

I don't have that radio, is it a heli radio? If so, you...

RE: gy240 on shogun

no, it would be best if it was as straight as possible, although you can get away with a tiny angle, maybe 2-3 degrees at the most, I haven't tried it over that so I couldn't comment on how it would...

RE: gy240 on shogun

I would say on a big heli, it would probably make a difference and the closer to the tail would probably be more effective. I'm used to mini and micro heli's, in a micro, I know for sure it can be...

RE: Problem with trec & gy240

Ok. make sure you don't pull the stick too much to arm, just a tiny bit. This should cure that.

Also make sure all your revo mixing is off.

RE: Problem with trec & gy240

Sounds like the tail motor esc's not armed, after plugging in your battery, hold your stick just a tad left for a few seconds. Your esc should arm and you should be set.

RE: gy240 on shogun

You can mount that gyro anywhere you want as long as the sticker is facing up or down. I've ran gy 240's and 401's in the front, middle and rear of heli's all with the same excellent results.

RE: The unending question

I'm not familiar with that receiver but either way, you just need a crystal for the rx that matches the channel of your tx, that's it.

You don't have to change the one in your tx...
