Hey LookNatU2,

The two stab. mounting screws thread into blind nuts inside the fuse. As long as they do not become cross threaded or over tightened they should out last the airframe.

Good idea on the hinges . I think I will copy your idea. The hinges as they are have .020 or more slop in them, unacceptable.

My Yak arrived today. I got a quick look at it and noticed a couple of thing I am curious about.


The hinges have what looks like just pieces of wire for the hinge pin...

As an alternative to the carbon fiber gear you might want to consider the alum. gear from TNT. It is a little heavier then the stock gear (couple of ounces ,if I remember...

I also was looking at the weight of the different engines. As Greyhound man said the ZDZ 80 would most likely need a 3 blade prop.
