TopCap Pull-Pull Question

OK, I guess I should have said it shouldn't break if done correctly. Like with all things after a period of time preventive maintenance should be done to ensure the cables are still in good shape....

Re: TopCap Pull-Pull Question

If the pull pull caused flutter than it wasn't installed properly. The advantage of pull pull is that there is a constant pull on the surface at all times. If anything you'd have more chance of...

Weird 9C dual aileron problem

Did you enable flaperons? You need to do that before the second servo (aileron) will work.

IMAA -- discussion

I went to the IMAA in Elwood earlier this year. Small turnout of about 35-40 people but with the winds in the 15-20mph range very few planes were flying. Mine was one of them and here is the video to...

CA Models 27% Extra 300L $199 Special

The problem with Hitec's lower end servos are that they use a cheap 3 pole motor. A coreless motor is much, much better... and worth the extra cash to buy them.

CA Models 27% Extra 300L $199 Special

I'm using:

JR8411's on ailerons and rudder
JR4721's on elevators
Futaba 3004's on throttle and choke

When it comes to choosing servos don't base your choice on torque alone. Look at the...

CA Models 27% Extra 300L $199 Special

The ZDZ40 will fly the airplane well but will it have enough to 3D is the question. My BME44 has more than enough power for it so I'd assume the ZDZ40 wouldn't be far behind.

24% or 27% extra

I look at it like this... if I feel like I need to worry about what to do when I crash it then this plane isn't for me. All planes will crash but why look forward to it and base your choice on when...

What makes a plane fly slowly?

Low wing loading is the key to slow flight, the higher the wing loading the easier it stalls.

One way to slow the down lines is a larger prop so people use 4 strokers because they'll swing that...

Battle of the 27% Extras

The DP Extra does a good job with an OS160 but don't look for unlimited vertical or any 3D flying.

The 24% CA Extra also is a great one for an OS160.
