RE: Beware Ultimate Hobbies

Thanks for the heads up!

CowboyLifesaver, are you part of the group that flies at White Lake by Border Town? If not White Lake, can you PM me with directions to where you fly? I'm up near Susanville and I'd like to take you...

RE: Best Chinese ARF??

Yeah, the engine is included, but the "deal" killer is the shipping. $70.50 to my California address [sm=thumbs_down.gif]

RE: First Reflex XTR Experience

All I have to say about my first impression with Reflex XTR is WORD!
The ONLY problem I had with the install was plugging the cord into my 9C. It was a real tight fit. Other than having a problem...

RE: What .46 to .53 engine / brand

Make it 7 of 7 for the Irvine. Yeah, it'll cost a little more than some of the OS *clones*, but to me, it's worth every penny. Easy to start, reliable and powerful. You can't go wrong with an Irvine.

RE: tiger shark engines

I have a Tiger Shark .40 (red head) that is a real piece of junk. One too many dead-sticks finally cost me a plane. If Kangke has redesigned and improved the Tiger Shark, it may no longer be the Yugo...

RE: SNOW FLY?

I also prefer floats for snow flying. I've tried skis, and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't, but I've never had the floats not work. When this pic was taken, the temp was in the mid 40's...

RE: what/how do you fly in the winter?

Most of our club members, including me, use floats to fly off of snow. Floats seem to work better than skis around here.

RE: Another Reason to Buy a Futaba 9C

Just like Aviti said "All this brand loyalty just makes it more confusing for people trying to decide what to get". As I see it, there is the Futaba and JR crowd along with the Hitec group and then...

RE: Another Reason to Buy a Futaba 9C

Well, I've heard of the EVO [:'(]... $100 MORE and NO servos made the 9C a FAR better choice for me. And that didn't include the frequency synthesizer module!

One thing Multiplex did get right...

RE: Airtronics RD8000 opinions

My first radio was an RD6000. I liked is so much that I bought another one for my daughter. When I *needed* more features than the RD6000 had, it was time for a new radio. I'm really glad Airtronics...

I'm considering a YS .63 for my Great Planes ARF Cub. Anyone have any thoughts, good or bad, on this?

Thanks!
