Rick builds a nice hull. If not wrong, this hull is adapted from the Expresscraft GTX 65" hull. I have a GTX and am happy with how it runs...

The site is there, but is not open to everyone. I was registered there, but they redid the membership, and I was denied a log in. I wasn't even involved with the racing arguing going on there...

RE: 2.4 Range

Do you have the antenna exposed? From what I understand, FM can't go through carbon fiber, and will affect range. My Futaba 2.4 gives me a range farther than I'm even comfortable driving my boat...

RE: RTR Boats

Yes. Cheap usually equals junk. The reason people have a bad taste in their mouth for Chinese knock off RTR boats is because they want a fun toy, not a RTR that falls apart. I bought a RTR boat,...

RE: Hunter Twin Build

When I built my GTX, I painted it after I had it completely built. It was the middle of winter, and never even test ran the boat in the water. I imagine if you have all of your holes and vents...

RE: High Lift or Not?

I got the best combination of speed and acceleration with a 7015/3 with my WHH M5 Zenoah. The 275 didn't stay as hooked up and the 3 blade carried the bow a little better.

RE: Real boat drives

Those are to ventilate the prop during planing. The props have a huge pitch, and can't go from subsurface to surface piercing easily without the vents.

RE: new build - 58

Is that hull design tested? Looks like a lot of steps of varying depths. I don't remember reading it, but is the bustle included in the 58", or is that nose to transom?

RE: New Rev-Unlimited Zenoah from Gizmo?

It's not a Zenoah engine, but a knock off replica. Not licensed or built by Zenoah to my knowledge. The jury is still out on how well they run.

RE: 66

Oops. Forgot about the MHZ version on the hull. My GTX runs well in all conditions, but I'd like to see more running video of propainters sv43 with the modified running surface, in rough water.

RE: Water cooling setup?

One line to the manifold, out and to the lower nipple on the cylinder head, then out of the hull. Second line to the pipe and then out of the hull.

Here are a couple of videos from onboard my GTX. First one is a flip, but I only got half of a barrel roll out of it! Second one is some side by side running with my brothers Central RC Skater. ...

RE: Some offshore video

24 mph in that water is impressive. Your boat was out of the water more than in!

RE: Stepped Hulls, yes or no

A stepped hull will have more stern lift in smooth water and will ride on 3 or more points on the keel for more stability. When the water gets choppy, the additional aeration in the back can cause...

RE: Newbie Need Help

It'd have to be a pretty strong single to push 72" of Apache hull. Maybe something like an RMCK K30, or a modded zenoah 29.5. A single RMCK 600 inline would be the logical power choice. If it...

RE: which one to get????

They are good to look at, but that's about it. You'll learn more and have a better boat by building your own from a quality fiberglass hull. If you must get a RTR, and want a great bang for the...
