Great running DL50 with ignition. Owned since new. 32:1 Stihl ultra oil with no Alcohol 90 octane gas. 23x8 Xoar prop. Just pulled from my Sbach last week. Needs nothing been a great engine.

Yes it will effect the way engine runs slightly. If you ever notice the diff in mixture when you run your plane upright vs inverted. The diff is from the carb diaphragm location.

I have 3 DLE 30s. 2 of them I converted from a side carb to rear, and 1 original rear carb.
The side carb engines were ok, but changing them to rear carb made them much easier to tune.

Does anyone remember what C.G. works for good 3d on this plane, yet still be stable. I have been running a DLE 30 on mine for the last few years. Power is good , but it flies a little heavy.

It doesnt take much. Screw driver blade width richer is about all it takes. Do a little at a time!
