It kind of depends on what you want from your boat.

I've never built a BSB but I've seen quite a few and driven one. They seem to be tricky but fun to drive. A .61 or so is probably the biggest...

The hull appears to be similar in size to the "Windy" kit but nothing the rest looks to be pretty custom[8D]

For single rudder setups I like to use a brass rod mounted the length of the leading edge of the rudder. It runs through holes in the back of the engine plate and a plate at deck level.

I think by the time it is decked and rigged you will be looking at 5 or 6 pounds. I wouldn't go bigger than a .46 on that hull.
