RE: Fuel gun

In all honesty, a regular fuel bottle seems faster to me.  I have seen people use fuel guns and I am not impressed with them.  Maybe if I use one I would change my tune, but i don't see enough of an...

RE: Two types of people at a track. My Newbie observation

Lol, you are absolutely correct! Just figure out who is who and stick to hanging out with the Type 1 people. You will also find that the Type 1 people have more fun at the track and are usually more...

RE: Age and What You Rip With??

33 and I run a SH ZMXB-8 (Z-Car), 3PM FASST, and Futaba coreless servos.  I also have a Hyper 8.5 in case anyone wants to come to the track and race with me (still working on getting the wife behind...

RE: Front Wheel Toe-In or Toe-out

Toe out give you better steering but makes the car a little twitchy on high speed straights.  Toe in gives you better straight line stability but you lose some steering.  Most people run toe out. ...

RE: Just got it!!

It looks like an Ofna Pirate but I could be mistaken. Does it run? Before you start it up PLEASE put a new air filter element on it !!! That last thing you want to do is to try and start it up...

RE: OFNA Hyper 7

The problem with aluminum arms is the fact that aluminum has no give.  During a hard crash, plastic "gives" a little and absorbs some of the impact.  If the impact is too great, it will break and...

RE: Using water hose for cleaning

I might try the simple Green/ alcohol/ water combo.  What ratio of each do you use?

RE: Really a differnce?

+1

My Futaba 3PM FASST is great!  No problems and only $199 new when I got it.  Any decent Futaba, Airtronics, KO, or Spektrum, should be fine.

RE: Really a differnce?

I can't count how many noobs spent over $1000 on a buggy setup that they brought to the track one time and never ran again. Just look at how many people come on here and ask "what do I need to do to...

RE: Which One

The Hyper 7 TQ Black comes with big bore shocks too.  The Ofna Picco buggy has an easier to tune engine, but as your first nitro buggy you will probably want help breaking it in and tuning it so that...

RE: Hyper 7 PCR RTR Questions

It is probably time to change out the oil in all of your diffs (if you never changed them they are probably packed with grease that you will have to clean out).  A good starting point is 3000 in the...

RE: GLOW PLUG problem

I would take the cooling head and head button off and see what is wrong.  Worst case, you may need to just need to get a new head button and glow plug (you should have a couple of extra glow plugs...

RE: Steering issues

Sounds like the EPA (End Point Adjustment) may have been accidentally changed.  I would check that.

RE: Using water hose for cleaning

The WD in WD40 stands for Water Dispersant so if you dry it off good and use WD40 it should get rid of any remaining moisture and prevent rust. I personally strip my buggy down and go to work with...

RE: Hyper .21 engine

From the research that I have done, it looks like it is a direct swap. I was going to do the same swap if I had gotten a Hyper 7 TQ Black but I ended up getting a different buggy.

RE: team magic good or bad

I don't know. I have never seen one run but I would like to. There was alot of hype around this buggy when it first came out but I don't think many people liked it.

RE: Really a differnce?

You have a good point on the extra costs but you would have to buy all of those thing (plus a bump box w/battery and charger $100) with a kit as well. I have not driven the Matrix R2 but I have...

You can't go wrong with either one. They are both great choices so pick whichever one you like the most. If I was you, I would chose the Losi 2.0 simply because you aready have the truggy. By...

RE: Really a differnce?

First off, the "cheaper buggies" from reputable companies are pretty tough and don't break as easily as some are making it seem. The only 2 "cheaper buggies" that I suggested were the Hyper 7 TQ...

RE: Really a differnce?

For a beginner I don't think it really matters that much. I would suggest the Hyper TQ Black or the Cen Matrix R2 for your first buggy if you plan on going immediately into racing. Just don't waste...
