I know you want a 4 stroke, but I have a OS 1.20 AX and I have no regrets. It's a monster. And it balances nicely with a receiver battery just behind the firewall. I use hitec 645MG servos in my bipe.

How far up would you like to go? If you have the budget, I would get a .50 size nitro heli, buy a good radio, join a club, and go out and have a blast. That route will cost you around $1200 give or...

Well I went back out to tinker around and I think I just about have the engine where I want it. Even though it idled great and transitioned great I was worried that I had the low end too lean so I...

sorry for the confusion. Yes I originally tuned the engine for what I thought was a good "break in" setting. Also the engine wasn't causing any major problems so I didn't take the steps to fine...

Thanks guys.
I understand the fundamentals of tuning these engines. I'm better with nitro engines and I understand their sounds a little easier than I do the gas.
Honestly this engine runs great....

DLE 30 Low end

Hello all.
I've been trying to perfect the tuning on my DLE 30. I wanted to get the idle down and the transition smoother.
I started leaning the low end so that I could reduce the throttle trim for...

No it is mounted on its side. But I did experience a couple of random flameouts with a well tuned engine. The F plug put a stop to that.

I have a 120 AX that loves and "F" plug. They are made for 4-Strokes but do wonders for the AX engines.

RE: first flight today!

Sounds to me like your receiver entered a fail safe condition for a moment and then returned control to you. Turn on your transmitter, then your receiver.......now turn off your transmitter. If your...

RE: Second plane?

.40 size Ultra Stik was my second plane and is still my favorite to fly today. It's my go to flyer on windy days, or just when I want to relax. I even set up a "dialed down" version in my radio and...

RE: Aurora 9 Servo Speed Problem

Thanks A.T., But it wasn't a binding issue. The heli works fine with a different radio. I found the programming in the flight condition menu.
The "speed" option was buried in the switch selection...

Aurora 9 Servo Speed Problem

Hello,

I have a problem with my Collective pitch servo and my throttle servo moving slowly when transitioning from Normal to Idle up 1 and 2.

I know the radio has servo speed and ACC setups...

RE: First Helicopter Thunder Tiger Raptor 50 Titan SE Kit

I have the Redline 53 in my X50 and it runs like a top. I also have an OS 50 hyper in a different heli it runs like a champ as well. I could easily recommend both.

RE: First plane

Best advice I can give is to "Slow down". I've seen it over and over again. People, including myself, get nervous and forget to slow the plane down. They wiz the plane around with their brain 3 steps...

RE: Standing position for take off

I wouldn't create a rule saying you couldn't stand behind the plane on takeoff, but if you can't takeoff from the flight line, how can you possibly land from the flight line. And walking back to the...

RE: Sbach 342 30cc Build

By the way, my Goldwing Sbach is not 11lbs. It is just over 12lbs.

RE: Sbach 342 30cc Build

I apologize for my exaggeration. I am certain your 1.00 will get the SBach off of the ground. But in my opinion you will not 3D that bird with anything under a 1.20.

That being said anything is...

RE: Seagull Ultimate 90

I'm using an OS 120 AX.

If I remember correctly, it balanced on the recommended CG with a receiver battery up front just behind the firewall.
Flied great!

RE: Sbach 342 30cc Build

I hate to rain on your parade, but the evolution 1.00 NX is not going to fly that plane let alone 3D it around. I have the Goldwing Sbach 72" wingspan and with my DLE 30 it's a rocket. But I would...

RE: Seagull Ultimate 90

I've had mine for about 3 years with no major problems. This winter though I was doing my usual look over of the plane looking for anything fishy and I did notice a little flex when I wiggled the...

RE: OS 120FS X OS 95AX

+ 1 on the 120 AX. Never used a 95AX but if it's anything like it's big brother, it's a monster.
I did find that my 120 likes the OS F plugs better.

RE: Maiden flight

Things I would check first:

1. Make sure your ailerons are aligned with the wing chord on each wing (Level to the wing) and your wing isn't warped.
2. Aileron servo isn't reversed
3. Make...

RE: Aurora 9 pitch curve

Aurora 9 pitch curve "all servos hold"

When you enter the pitch curve menu you are asked if you want "All Servos Hold". This is great if you want to tweak the curve while the heli is running. As long as you put the stick all the way down...

RE: dx8 or HI-TEC AURORA 9CH

I love the A9. Very user friendly. 72 MHz module for my old planes. Telemetry. The firmware is updatable for future improvements.
