the savage is an amazingly designed truck.....the hardest thing to do is remove the transmission, and that isnt very hard anyway. Ergo's are fantastic, everything is easy to do and its tough as guts....

you dont want to get a heading hold gyro, they dont work well on cars, you dont need to spend that much, cheap gyro's work just fine on cars because they are designed for heli's which require much...

Gyro's are generally reliable, it all depends on how much your willing to pay....gyro's can range from $20 to like $400.....mines worth about $25 :D
I dont know how it will cope with the extreme...

a gyro is use to control the tail of a heli....it senses side to side movement and adjusts the position of the servo to keep the gyro from moving......think of it like this, if wind pushes the tail...

Hey guys, my other rc hobby is helicopters and i had a spare gyro sitting around so i put it in my savy......Its a simple rate gyro, nothing fancy.

thanks, ive checked out everything and the main shaft has a tiny tiny bend in it so ill change it, the feathering shaft (is that also called a spindle??) also has a slight bend in it so ill change...

The blades are balanced weight wise but i dont think they are exactly spot-on CG wise, i have had a couple of small crashes....i will take the head apart and have a look...thanks for all the help.

the nuts on the feathering shaft both look ok, same amount of thread exposed on each side, so what would you suggest i try, tighten or loosen the nuts...I'll try anything.

thanks, I saw that the 4#3 also has the optional 2.4Ghz setup. The 4#3a and 4#3b are both slightly bigger and the motors are "1220" but the original 4#3 is 1215....does this mean they have better...
