RE: Carl Goldberg PITTS S12 MONSTER

You will have more than enough power with the YS-120 but your wallet will hurt more on the fuel end. If you have the Zehoah use it - if not - I would go with something a little lighter (unless you...

RE: Carl Goldberg PITTS S12 MONSTER

NO way does this plane need a 55cc gasser! I would look at the Syssa 30cc today if I was still motor shopping for this plane.

RE: Carl Goldberg PITTS S12 MONSTER

Awesome looking Jet - no response from the offer yet so who knows. I've got everything to get it going but a switch and rudder servo.

RE: Carl Goldberg PITTS S12 MONSTER

HOLD YOUR BREATHE! I just received an offer on the plane... I told him it was asking price or no deal. I really love this plane and want to fly it but I've not been to a flying field to fly in...

RE: Carl Goldberg PITTS S12 MONSTER

Okay, almost 6 years later and the plane is still sitting in my hobby room unflown and that's just RIDICULOUS when you consider my excitement about this plane. I had even posted it for sale, took it...

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

I was going with the stearman until the pitts m12 came out. I think you're in the right ball park. It will still be more power than you need but the weight will be better handled for the larger...

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

Robinhood, I have a 26 cc gasser and saw a similar bi-plane fly with a G-26 and most say that it's enough power. The 36cc would be really powerful but would still work. I've not flown the plane but...

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

That guy was nuts, although, found this really neat link there: http://tech.flygsw.org/ttpro120conversion.htm

A converted TT1.20 2-stroke to gas. That would be awesome for my sr. telemaster.

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

Yeah, I wish I hadn't mounted the engine forward or wasn't so cheap that I didn't buy a new mount but it still looks good to me the way it is. I cut the large hole out under the cylinder and will...

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER

Oh, BTW, I went to dual elevator servos on the rear, so I changed the blue a little bit when I recovered so I didn't have to buy two colors.

RE: Carl Goldberg -- PITTS S12 MONSTER
