I'm still around lol, but thanks for noticing my absence :)

After I bought an RC heli, it seemed to break the RC tank spell (only flew it a few times, novelty wore off) - now I've taken a giant...

RE: Am I missing something?

I have a couple of these Dragon Micro-X-tech Tigers, but mine aren't "FAME CITY KINGS" with "urban camo" (what the heck...)

One of TankZone's frequent customers will buy it... its only 10x...

RE: metal gearbox tiger1

The the gear/cogs themselves? Not that I know of, can you tell me which one has teeth missing: 1 (meshes with motor pinion), 2, 3 or 4 (final output shaft) ?

RE: Standard mods?

Most of the parts you're struggling with are screwed on, but you probably already know that now :D

There are different brands of metal tracks floating around, I know earlier ones include metal...

RE: Dual battery setup

When using twin 1700's in my Abrams it gave it a lot more punch, both were equally charged etc, and boy did it make a difference in extended pulling power (as in nothing could stop it)

RE: HELP NEEDED!! RC (H/L) TANK (PANTHER) CAN'T MOVE FORWARD! RED LED BLINKING

The problem with the tank not moving straight happens because the non-S&S has no proportional drive or adjustable trims to counter non-straight drive.

An easy option to cure-all is purchasing a...

RE: HELP NEEDED!! RC (H/L) TANK (PANTHER) CAN'T MOVE FORWARD! RED LED BLINKING

If I had a spare 40mhz transmitter I'd send one, perhaps its time for an S&S upgrade, OR you could switch the two wires over going to the motors which would give forward movement but no reverse :D

RE: Heng Long Panzer III vs Bulldog

Below is a pic of a Bulldog with metal tracks, without pics its hard to tell, but if your friend has "drape" between the return wheels then if definitely sounds like he's running them too loose.

RE: the weasleing

We talked about this a while back: we found the main *ouch* factor was the price - sure, for just over $1800USD you get a unique vehicle, yet very small, includes gearboxes but absolutely no...

RE: HELP NEEDED!! RC (H/L) TANK (PANTHER) CAN'T MOVE FORWARD! RED LED BLINKING

Stock charger/battery will charge in under 5 hours, with the 500mah closer to 4 hours. If you've charged for 8 then thats not good for the battery. The transmitter fault would be an easy cure, its...

RE: Metal Tanks or Tank Kits

"Cheap chinese plastic toys" is what got the majority of us into this hobby, and are the reason for the explosion in growth.

RE: Tank Performance

My only concern with stunts + Bulldog is the front idler mount. I've installed 9.6v Tyco racing stuff into one of my Tigers and boy did it move! Shows the potential is there, but dont expect long...

RE: Chunwai Models M1A2

I'd choose HL - cheap, massive spares/upgrades capability, huge following and community knowledge-base, bigger size. ;)

The smaller size does nothing for me [:o]

RE: My addition to our endless "want" list

Plenty of space for electronics, yes, but not regular "already out there" gearboxes that are tough enough. It's not a matter of low profile but thin hull - at 1:16 scale we're talking 8.3cm or 3...
